Question about Bosch Nexxt Premium WFMC6400UC Front Load Washer

Bosch Next Pemium Washer-intermittent detergent dispensing cycle

Our Bosch Next Pemium Washer will only run water through the detergent dispensing cup once. Checked and cleaned filters in both ends of hoses and in machine where the hoses connect to the machine. Ran water through both hoses. Turned washer on and tried again. Can get detergent dispensing cycle to work the first time and when it tries to cycle on again, I hear humming but no water comes through the detergent dispenser. If I turn the machine cycle off, I can turn it back on and the detergent dispenser will work the first time and then will not work again. Both hoses are clear and filters on the hoses and the machine are clean and clear. I hear a humming sound when the water should be coming through the detergent cup but there is no water. The same thing happens on any setting and happens whether I use cold or warm or hot water wash cycle. Is there a repair manual and/or schematic for this machine other than the user manual which doesn't tell me anything about my problem? Thanks. sp

    Barkencoa,

Thanks for your quick response and your answer makes sense to me but now where do I find a schematic or diagram that shows me how to replace or repair this valve?

    Thanks, sp

I've checked the inlet water strainer on the supply side of the cold water and it looked clean but I still cleaned it. I've replaced the supply hose and it still doesn't work. The cold water supply will dispense into the detergent tray if I shut off and turn back on the supply from the cold water. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Hi.
Sounds like the valve that lets the water in on the dispensing cycle is sticking, if you can hear the valve buzzing i would certainly suspect it to be faulty

Make sure there are no leaks from the machine. look behind it and check the water inlet hose and connectors for any damage. Also look under the machine for any water as this may indicate a leak from the internal hose and pipe work and / or water pump. Also check that the outlet hose is completely clear of debris and soap scum build up and check that the filter is clean.

Bosch Nexxt Premium inlet valve solution you posted.

Hi.

You do not need a schematic for your washer, the valve is located at the top left rear of the m/c, where the hose is connected to.

Your best course of action is to contact Bosch direct for price and availability of valve.
Address as below

www.bosch.co .uk.

Or www.4bosch.co.uk/spares.

Hope this helps, and please bear in mind I have diagnosed this problem on the information supplied by you, so cannot guarantee it will solve your problem. Good luck

Can I use color safe bleach in my new cabrio, and if so where do I put it?

According to the manual on pages 12 & 13.

1.
Place a load of sorted clothes into the washer. See “Laundry
Tips.”
■ Load evenly to maintain washer balance. Mix large and
small items. Items should move easily through the wash
water.
■ Load only to the top of the basket as shown. Overloading
can cause poor cleaning. Items need to move easily
through the wash water.
2. Pour measured powdered or liquid High Efficiency detergent
into the detergent dispenser. Always use the detergent
dispenser, and do not put detergent directly onto clothes in
the washer.
3. Add color-safe bleach (powdered or liquid) to this dispenser,
if needed. Be sure to match powdered color-safe bleach with
powdered detergent or match liquid color-safe bleach with
liquid detergent.
4. Pour measured liquid chlorine bleach into the liquid chlorine
bleach dispenser, if needed. Bleach is diluted and
automatically dispensed at the proper time during the wash
cycle.
■ Do not overfill. Do not dilute. Do not use more than 1 cup
(250 mL) for a full load. Use less with a smaller load size.
■ Follow the garment and the chlorine bleach
manufacturer’s directions for proper use.
■ To avoid spilling, use a cup with a pouring spout. Do not
let bleach splash, drip, or run down into the washer basket.
■ At the end of the cycle, a small amount of water may be
left in the dispenser. This is normal.
NOTE: Use only liquid chlorine bleach in this dispenser.

5. Pour measured liquid fabric softener into the fabric softener
dispenser, if desired.
■ Do not overfill. The dispenser holds 3 oz (94 mL), or a
capful of fabric softener.
■ The fabric softener is dispensed in the final rinse. If Extra
Rinse is selected, the fabric softener will be dispensed
during the Extra Rinse.
■ Do not spill or drip any fabric softener onto the clothes.
■ At the end of the cycle, a small amount of water may be
left in the dispenser. This is normal.
NOTE: Use only liquid fabric softener in this dispenser.
6. Close the washer lid.
7. Press POWER. This turns on the washer display.
8. Select a Wash Cycle. See “Cycles.”
9. Select the desired Modifiers. See “Modifiers.”
10. Select an Option, if desired. See “Options.”
11. Select Delay Wash, if desired. See “Delay Wash” in the
“Modifiers” section.
12. Press START. The wash cycle begins, and the display shows
the estimated remaining time. The lid will lock.
NOTE: If you do not press Start within 5 minutes of pressing
Power, the washer automatically shuts off.

The way that I read the manual, your color safe bleach would go in the detergent dispenser. Your liquid chlorine bleach would go in the bleach dispenser.

Bosh washer won't dispense softener. cleaned the tray and tested it by filling with water and it drained completly out, so i know its not clogged. washed another load and softener still there at end of...

I had the same problem. I went to www.justanswer.com and asked the same question as you. I have copied my questions and answers into this reply. My Bosch Nexxt 500 Series washer has stopped dispensing fabric Sent to Appliance Experts 10/25/2009 at 3:24 PM My Bosch Nexxt 500 Series washer has stopped dispensing fabric softener; I also find water in the softener dispenser cup (little cup that pops out for washing - has two sides, one for softener and the other for bleach) after every load. I have tried soaking and cleaning the cup with a brush as the manual indicates with no changes; water still standing. I removed the dispenser and filled it with water. The water didn't run out until I angled the end with the drain hole slightly down. Then the water came out through the drain hole fine. I thought maybe I hadn't cleaned it properly and bought a new dispenser assembly; this is a big part with the dispensers for detergent, softener, and bleach. I replaced my softener dispenser cup with the new one. Same problem. Help.

Optional Information:
Make: Bosch Nexxt 500 Series
Model: WFMC3301UC

Already Tried:
I stated my case in my question, but I did disassemble the dispenser cup. There is no blockage. It looks just like the new dispenser cup in the new assembly I bought. I also have only ran bleach through the detergent dispenser 2 times in 3 years.
Status: Awaiting Expert Reply Value: $28 Answer 10/25/2009 at 3:26 PM (2 minutes and 40 seconds later) if the dispenser is clean, then you need to replace your cold water electronic water valve. This water valve has 2 solenoids. Once for the softner and one to fill the tub. The solenoid that fills the tub can be working normally while the softner solenoid will fail to open as far as it needs and will either not send water into the softner compartment at all, or will only fill very slowly leaving diluted softner in the compartment at the end of the cycle. Here is a link to the part you need to replace. This is the part that the cold water fill hose connects to on the back of the washer.
Here is the link to the part with its description. Good luck! http://www.repairclinic.com/SSPartDetail.aspx?s=t-WFMC3301UC-%3d%3di1105556&PartID=1105556

He4t - monthly bleach cleaning cycle

Washer Monthly Maintenance Procedure:
This cycle uses higher water volumes in combination with liquid chlorine bleach to thoroughly clean the inside of your washing machine.
  1. remove any clothing or items from washer
  2. CLOSE door (duh)
  3. open dispenser drawer and remove the detergent compartment and set aside. No laundry products will be added at this time. You will be required to add only liquid chlorine bleach at a later step.
  4. For Kenmore Elite HE products press a specific combo of buttons.
  • Select Rinse/Spin program
  • select low spin speed
  • select warm/cold water temp.
  • select 2nd rinse option
  • push the "end of cycle" signal button 4 times within 5 seconds to start the cycle
The machine will fill and run a short sensing cycle. This will take about 3 minutes.

Step 5
  1. The washer will provide 4 short tones. Check the: ESTIMATED TIME REMAINING display for the codes indicated below:
  • if "Ab" (add bleach) displayed in the estimated time remaining window (you'll hear 4 short tones) proceed to Step 6.
  • if "rL" (remove load) displayed in the Estimated Time Remaining window an error tone will sound. The door will unlock.
-open the door and remove the items from the washer.
-continue the cycle by pressing the START button.

NOTE: The water in the unit will dispense for a moment, then the door will unlock, lock again, and then the cycle will continue with another check for items in the washer.

The machine will fill and run a short cycle to determine whether any items have been left in the washer. This will take approx 3 minutes.

the washer will repeat Step 5 until it can determine that there are NO items n the washer and will display "Ab" (add bleach).
6. Add liquid chlorine bleach.
  • If using the maintenance procedure for the first time, open the dispenser drawer and immediately add 1 cup liquid chlorine bleach to the Main Wash detergent compartment. The liquid bleach should immediately flow out of the dispenser.
  • If doing a monthly maintenance procedure, open the dispenser drawer and immediately add 1/3 cup bleach to the Main Wash detergent compartment. The liquid chlorine bleach should immediately flow out of the dispenser.

    NOTES:
  • Water will be flowing into the dispenser drawer when the bleach is added ... this is normal.
  • Do not add any detergent to this cleaning cycle. Use of more than 1 cup of bleachw ill cause product damage over time.
7. Once the cleaning cycle has begun, allow the cycle to complete. An est cycle time will appear on the display.

8. After the cleaning cycle is complete, leave the door open, clightly to allow for better ventilation and drying of washer interior.

9. Replace the detergent compartment divider.

Detergent dispenser

As far as I am aware, there IS NO dispenser for bleach, you have to put bleach in drum before adding clothes and starting cycle. The far right compartment is only for "pre-wash" cycles, and if no pre-wash is selected, water will run through ALL compartments at the rinse stage..... Oshie
