Question about Microwave Ovens
My microwave stopped working. There is a message that says 'door' even when the door is closed. One of the little black tabs on the door is loose. Could this be the problem? If so, how do I tighten it?
It could be a fuse. There is a large fuse behind the control panel and a smaller one on the
right top side of the microwave. You have to pull the unit partially
out to access this. Here is a link that directs you to a repair manual
with detailed instructions how to do this.
Scroll down and find the pdf file. If it still doesn't work you may have to replace the door latch switches, one on the left and two on the right. You can find the fuses at Lowes or Home Depot. The switches have to be ordered from here:

You can usually find helpful exploded view diagrams and order parts by entering your full model number here.
There should also be a "mini-manual" (tech sheet) hidden inside the unit behind the control panel or hidden on the left side behind the grille, which is very helpful when troubleshooting, testing, and locating components.
I would suspect a bad door switch or its mount may be loose.
