Sony TVs has an Optical Block issue. If there is an issue with the optical block, then there will be green, blue patches or tint on the TV display. Try resetting the TV to the factory settings and try Power resetting the TV. Turn Off the TV and remove the power plug from the wall outlet for 1 minute and reconnect it and check the operation. If the issue still persists, then TV may require service. You can contact the Customer relations team and check for the available options. Sony had repaired free of cost for such issues. Hence, contact the customer relations.
The color signal consists of Red, Green and Blue. Those three colors, at various degrees, make all the other colors on your screen.
If you have a BRIGHT green screen it's best you don't operate your set. If it's just tinted green then there is a problem on the CRT (Cathode Ray Tube) drive board. Do check your "tint" setting and see if someone misadjusted it. If that isn't it then you need to have your set on an electronics bench and get an estimate for repair.
I fix this problem with CRT computer monitors alots when it was popular.Ur high voltage is dead, FBT,The flyback transformer, and the horizontal Transistor it dead. The FBT,the big block of plastic with a red wire with cap hook to Ur CRT,"H" transistor to the left steal square side wall. The problem is easy to fix,if u
have some basic sodering skill."H" Transistor is easy
to find. But FBT,it hard to find these day.If u want to tries to fix. Here are some websites might have the FBT for the Sony Tv. Shopjimmy.com,Tv repair World.com,Ebay.com.
Projectors with three LCD circuit boards can overheat over time and damage one of the color panels (circuits). This happened to my Epson. It costs too much to replace the panel, which means the projector is terminal. This bleeding color may start small and get worse over time. I hope that this is not the probelm that you have...
in this case you have defective CRT Circuit System, CRT means The Cathode Ray Tube... Circuit system. this need to diagnose the System IC. if you know how to repair electronics appliances i can teach you how to fix this issue..
I would check the green signal all the wat to the display screen to determine is this is a signal problem or a system short. I would recommend that you take this set to a qualified electronics technician
