Side by side fridge. It has some buzzing sounds then a click at the end, every like 5 mins. or so. Last night the seems like its no keeping things cold.

Power to compressor must be off (about 5 minutes) before a restart should be tried. Some of these relays are thermal and must cool down before power is reapplied.

Either the start device for the compressor is bad or the compressor has died. The easiest way to tell is to replace the start device. It cost around 30-40 bucks and the part number for it is 218721119. In most of these cases its just a bad start device. The start device is located on the side of the compressor in the bottom back of the unit. It will have a capacitor attached to it that you will want to keep and stick on the new one. If you need anymore help just let me know. Good Luck!

sounds like a compressor relay check with maytag mightr be one of the recall ones
SOURCE: Fridge not blowing cold, Buzzing inside black ball "compressor"
The black ball you are reffering to is the compressor. It is trying to start..that is the buzzing. The start, and overload relay is probably bad..hopefully.Because if it isn't the compressor may be bad.Where your wires plug into the compressor...this is the relay.it should come off fairly easy.It is much cheaper to replace this part..than buying a new fridge. For instance i buy them for g.e. refrigerators all the time from an appliance repair shop at cost, and they are less than 4 dollars for me.So I assume they aren't too expensive retail.

Your starter/overload is the clicking trying to start the compressor. It is bad or the compressor is It is uaually the starter.
