Question about HP Expresscard TV Tuner For Windows Vista (RM436AA#ABA)
Express card came with a S-Video and Composite Audio/Video Dongle.
There must be a way to imput analog audio via audio hardware provided. I suppose this is to allow imput from vcr. I want to imput analog audio from a tape recorder and convert it to digital format. I have a laptop (HPdv9930us), so my only audio imputs are firewire and mic imput. I might imput to Movie Maker . . . I appreciate your help.
Perhaps this device at creative.com (The link provided for you) or something similiar will do the trick for you.
It connects to a USB port. You have 2 on the right side of your laptop. The device has two RCA ports which should provide the connections you seek.
A device like this one or similiar should give you the best "Quality" audio transfer.
But if cost is more of an issue, you can find "Patch cables" at you local electronics store to go from RCA jacks to stereo headphone jack this will allow you to port the information in through your Microphone jack.
Hopefully this helped you,
