Unfortunately, this unit is beyond hope. I would, however, try to salvage the memory card, especially if there are pictures involved.

I dropped my canon powershot SD 4500 IS and now it won't turn on! It's survived countless other falls just fine, and would turn on immediately then. All times, including this time, have been when...

Really!....you've dropped your camera "countless" other times and now you're concerned because this time, it won't turn on!!! You're not sure what else to do?!!! How about not dropping your camera. How about using the wrist strap. Your dropping luck has run out...your camera does not have nine lives.

I dropped my phone in the pool, got a new battery for it and it worked fine untill the battery ran out and now it will not charge or turn on (lg xenon)

Since it's a new battery it might be the battery. If a battery will fail it will do so with the first 30 days of use. It sounds like you have never charged it before. You should bring it back to the store for a replacement to test it if possible with another phone. But since the phone suffered water damage the real issue is most probably the phone. If a phone gets wet sometimes it will work fine for a while after it dries or it won't work at all. But even if it does work you could start having random issues with it everything from random shutdowns/reboots, can't charge, can't stay on to issues like preventing you from receiving txt msgs or using the camera or media player. You might have to start shopping around.

How do I get my camcorder to turn on and charge?

This is a problem on dc 230s. Were the battery connects to the camera look at the terminals. They should stick out but yours might be pushed in, causing the problem you are describing. The way to fix it is by removing the cover and pushing the terminals back out. It is a easy fix, if you want to fix it yourself let me know and I will tell you how to do it. I work at one of canons return centers and have fixed many of these.

Dropped camera in pool

If it does not fire up, I would dunk it again - this time in warmed, distilled water, moving it around a bit, then putting it in a warm (not hot) place to dry but I would probably give it a week.
Distilled water is non-conductive whereas pool water is . . . who knows?
