I have a 2004 Dodge Stratus sxt coupe with a Mitsubishi engine. My code reader said misfire in Cylinder 2.

P0302, see I now it, but is it only 1? DTC error?
2 engines , or where? and up to 5 world wide, NO VIN
Engines, Mitsu. no clue told.

V6 2.7L? (so says dodge.com USA> go this?
2.4 L EDZ I4 4G64 I4 DOHC and SOHC
2.4 L EDV/EDT turbo I4 (Mexico)
2.7 L EER V6 ) i GUESS THIS IF Usa CAR. has 6 COPS
Coup?:
2.4 L 4G64 I4
3.0 L 6G72 V6

my best guess USA is VIN K engine, no vin told so engine is UNKNOWN,

it means, this, only.
Low combustion on #2 cylinder, (spark, fuel injection or compression bad)#2
#1 is on crank pulley end. #4 is at transmission I4, F1234R
rear means tranny end. oK?
v6
all V engines 99% #1 is the bank V that is most forward cyl. of all.
to the crank pulley's
2nd is always 2nd in firing order, always, and PCM dictates it.

2.7l v6 24v ffv . dohc mpi engine.
firing order, 2.7L 1-2-3-4-5-6 even odd ;odd banks.

causes (v6 cops)
1: spark plug bad #2
2: spark coil bad, COP 2 dead? or weak or boot bad.
3: oil flooded inside the spark plug well, shorting all above out.
4: injector bad #2 (omg PCM, nah) swap 2 top find it;
5: compression fails #2
only 1 code told so answer is 100% based on 1 code only 302
6: rare bad cam lobe.
7: rare cracks in head , antifreeze leaks to #2 combustion chamber.
8: oil leaks to #2 via all classic ways.

Pull a plug wire or coil and check for spark. No spark look to the crank sensor. Check fuel pressure.

2001 dodge stratus 2.4 dohc will the coil pack spark if the valves are bent on the number 2 and 3 cylinders

If the engine cranks, and the cam and crank are close to being in time, the coils should fire.
You just would not have compression on some cylinders.

I replaced the fuel pump and filter in a 99 dodge stratus and it still wont start what can I try to fix it?

Hi,
When you turn the key to "on" (not to crank), listen to determine if you can hear the fuel pump. If you can't hear, you might have someone outside the car and near the gas tank, listen closely as you do this. It's possible the pump isn't working... though you replaced it.
If you're getting fuel, try to determine if you're getting spark at the plugs.
Hope this helps... a little.

99 dodge stratus dies while driving

Were the plugs covered in oil? With the plugs that go through the valve cover you might need new seals. Did you replace the plug wires? You need to scan it for codes. It's most likely a missfire, but it could be a bad speed sensor (also called, VSS vehicle speed sensor, cam position sensor,or crank position sensor).
