Please make sure that your lcd brightness is at maximum. Consult your manual to adjust the lcd brightness.
Please let me know about the video card you have mentioned. Is it of the desktop?

Cant Find It. I opened the Desktop but I dont know what to look for. I need to take out the graphics card so I can put in in another computer plz help.

Hi, this sounds like an easy problem, and I am happy to provide the assistance.

First, open your computer.
Second, find the jack where your screen plug into it. It should look like this, or something similar.

This one has a jack for regular monitor, as well as as a high def jack called DVI.

Other versions have different jacks, from rca video out jacks, to 2 or 3 regular monitors, to s-video, to even HDMI

But this is the basic look of all video cards. It will be held into the computer with a small retaining screw that goes into the top of the front plate. Make sure that the power is unplugged, and then undo the screw, and you will probably have to wiggle the card back and forth to get it to come out of the slot that it sticks into.

When you put it into the other machine, you will need to check the bios settings so that it looks for the new card, otherwise you might not get any video signal out of it.
Also, after the other computer boots all the way up, don't forget to install the drivers and softwar for it, or else all you will get if a safe mode driver for your video card, with absolutely NO performance features enabled.
I hope this has been helpful for you today, and have a nice day!

My screen goes black after startup

Try a different monitor, I am sure this sounds overly simplistic to you but, I have seen in my customers have just that, a bad monitor.

If another monitor does the same thing, then you should try another video card. If the video in on the motherboard, there should be a AGP, PCI-e, or an empty PCI slot to put a video card in.

Dancing red pixels

Your Video Card´s DVI output is probably damaged. You will have to replace your video card , or use only the VGA output.

Blank, black screen computer turns on, but the screen remains black. can hear the cpu running but cant see anything

Has this been happening on a regular basis? When did this start? If you have a separate video card are you capable of disconnecting it from the motherboard and attaching the monitor to the built in video?

Also as strange as this seems, I have seen some instances of a blank screen where motherboard ram not seated properly can lead to a no post situation.

Computer turns on, but there is no display on monitor.

The builtin video card is probably bad. Yes, you can get a PCI video card.

The screen is white

This is the internal video card of the monitor.
It has either failed, or the cable that connects it to the LCD panel has come out of either the video card or the panel.

Hope that helps =)
