Well if like me you use a website like limewire to get your songs, It may be that the files for the song or videos have errors in the files. Try downloading others and if it still doesnt work it may be the place your downloading songs from. If my solution doesnt work please try changing where you get your music from.. Im pretty sure you use something like limewire and if so it may be that its not suitable for your mp3, Try changing it

If it still doesnt work please reply and ill give you a longer description

CAN'T HEAR MUSIC, IT SAY FORMAT ERROR,WHAT DO I DO?

Your getting a format error because the format of the song, video, etc
you are trying to play is not the format needed by your MP3 player to
play the song,video,etc.
Always check in your owners manual to find out what format your player
requires.
Once you have determined what the format you have (MP3,MP4,ACC,WMA,etc.)
you will need to determine what format you need for your player to play
those songs,video,etc.
If the format that you have for your songs, videos, etc is different than
the format that you need for your player to play them, then you will
have to download a format converter and convert each song, video, etc to
the format that is usable in your MP3 player.

Format error .it will not play .

Hi ayalajr74,
Songs may not be encoded in mp3 format even if the extension is mp3. You can try converting the files to mp3 again by using a free program like Medimonkey or any online converter, and then see if they play. I had the same problem with all the .mp4 video files.

Hello, we are new to mp3 players, and when we try to play a song it says format error

Hi laura and tom,
Mp3 players can be fussy about which format of songs they want to play. Generally mp3, m4a, mp2, wma - these work fine. Consult the documentation provided for more details on which formats are supported. You'll then have to encode all your songs in the mp3(or other accepted) formats. There are countless ways to do this, both online and offline - I can only suggest the freeware MediaMonkey for Mp3 conversions. If you search around on the web I'm sure you'll find a lot more, if you need.

CRAIG MP4 plus video player- disk error message appears.

make sure the songs you download are right for your mp4 player because Limewire only plays mp3 songs. so i would go on the internet and find a music site that has mp4 songs

MP3 Player plays only 25 songs, capacity 1GB (861 MB)

Seems like a big problems you got there...

I reccomened re-formatting your drive to fat32 (for windows users) and giving it a second try.

I had the saem trouble a while back with my iPod Video 60gb and noticed that it was storing huge amounts of data that wasnt meant to be there. After the reformat it all worked again.

You also sure its not a full drive? because my Q-Be used to say "file error" on a full drive (vista bug)

---Give reformatting a go though.
