Re: power cord not working

I came here because I had the same problem but I think I found my power cord and am trying to verify this. The power cord was manufactured by HJC and is Model # HASU05K. I found a link to purchase one at

Converts from 120 v input to 19 v 3.16a output.

Re: power cord not working

If your power cord plugs in to the back of the monitor, then you can find one just about anywhere that computer stuff is sold, like Radio Shack and Wal-Mart. You might be able to be able to get one free from a locally owned computer repair place as they most likely have extras lying around. Doesn't hurt to call and tell them you need one. If you have to buy one, they aren't expensive, usually 5 or $10. Please let me know how it turns out!

Won't charge

Sounds like you need to replace your power cord! They are not very pricey--consider ordering a spare, esp. if you are paying S &H anyhow.

If the repair is not serious, your LCD may be able to be repaired. Sometimes replacement parts and labor for broken LCDs are often more expensive than the cost of a new monitor. If you really want to repair it, replacement screens, power supplies and control boards can be ordered direct from the manufacturer. Here is the LG Support Site:

Check this first:
  • Remove the power cord from the wall outlet, and the LCD unit, and reconnect the power cord. Try powering on the unit.
  • Disconnect and reconnect monitor video cable.

Cornea 1810 monitor power cord

Apparently the monitor's power consumption is near or slightly exceeds the specified value.
My suggestion would be to purchase an adapter with higher rated output current - if for example your original adapter was rated 12V 4.5A, go for a 12V 6A rated adapter. A 30% safety overhead will hopefully contribute to higher reliability.

My AL1703 sm monitor will not power on.

that means the power cord is faulty, the monitor does no send message to the power cord rather the power cord sends message to the monitor so its the power cord that's bad expecially if its an adaptor, thanks

Acer AL1916 can't start

If you press the power button and nothing comes on at all then something isn't providing power to the laptop as it should and you may likely need to replace the battery or the power cord.

Find a replacement battery. Change your battery with a new one then plug it up and turn on to see if this works.

If replacing the battery doesn't work then replace the power cord and trying turning it on again. If this doesn't work either, you have a more serious issue going on.

Not too long ago, I was on vacation, my laptop had been working fine until suddenly it wouldn't come on at all. I went into the office to grab a new battery and power cord. (I work on computers so I had spare parts in my office/Tech Room.)

I got home and replaced the battery then tried to turn it on using the old power cord...didn't work. This was a brand new battery so now I knew that I could rule out the battery as the issue...the only two things left to troubleshoot were the power cord and the laptop itself.

I put my old battery back in the laptop then tried to turn it on using a different power cord and it worked. I didn't need to replace my battery or laptop. The power cord had failed.

I hope that your issue is as simple as this solution. Try confirming whether your battery and power cord are still may just need to replace one or the other.

Lost the power cable

If this is a non standard type of power cord that cannot be localy purchased, look up the manufacture name using Google or Yahoo. Find their support page, and enquire about how to order a new cable.
