Damn Sansa piece of junk. 1 week, not mistreated at all and it just won't go past the menu screen. Now I find that everyone else has the same problem. I think the best solution would be to collect them all for the purposes of a Mass enema for the Sansa president.

Does anyone know how to go about taking advantage of the 1 year warranty? Mine turns on fine, but gets stuck on the screen with the sansa logo, when I plug it into a computer it does not even recognize it as a drive. I want to retutn it because I think it may be fried or something.

Does anybody know the steps in order to take advantage of the 1 year warranty. I've had my player for a few months and it turns on fine, but it gets stuck on the screen with the sansa logo and I can't get into my music files and I have to remove the battery in order to turn the player off. Please let me know if anybody actually returned their player for a new one or their money back.

It is not going to sync music on to it

Try Draging and Dropping the music and files:

**Drag and Drop**
Connect your MP3 player to the computer. Some MP3 players connect directly to a USB port, while others connect to a USB port by way of a specific USB connector that comes with the MP3 player. Open the folder on the computer that contains the music files you want to transfer. This is usually the "My Music" folder; available from the "Start" menu, but it can be any folder where you save your music files. Scroll down to the song you want to transfer to the MP3 player. Right-click on the title. When the options are displayed, click on "Send To." Scroll down the "Send To" options and select your MP3 player. This can be listed as your MP3 player's name or as "Removable Drive." Click on this selection. Continue this process until you have transferred all songs that you want to your MP3 player.

If you have a large playlist to transfer, you may prefer to do it from your media player, such as Windows Media Player. Once your MP3 player is connected to the computer, open Windows Media Player. Click on the "Sync Music" tab. Drag songs that you want from your Windows Media Library over to the "Sync Music" column to create a playlist. Click the "Begin Sync" tab at the bottom once you have all of the songs on your playlist. This action will sync all of the songs to your MP3 player with one click. Disconnect your device once songs have been transferred by clicking on the "Safely Remove Hardware" icon in the bottom-right side of the desktop tray.

I got a missil gl-1502 for xmas, the manual isn't that good.It doesn't te me how to load music on to it.I have been trying to load for acouple of days.I have music loaded on to my computer but can't get it...

These made in China MP4 players are quite budget ... however,I've managed to get mine working just fine. Just follow these steps:

1.Charge the unit. (These things come with a dead power supply, soyou'llhave to to charge it with the provided USB cable... or any cable such asone that works with a camera. you'll not be able to load it orturn iton until this has been done. 3 hours later your computer willdetect newhardware (USB mass storage device) and install the appropriate drivers.

2. Loading MP3's... there are 2 ways to go about this...

a) If you have the latest Windows media player click on the SYNC tab and follow the directions.

b)Open "My Computer" you should be able to see a new drive (probably E: F:or G:) double click to expand it, you should see a bunch of folders, simply drag and drop your MP3s to the Music folder.

3.Converting and Loading Video: The included program that comes withthesecheap-*** players is a bag of $#@! so dont even bother with it.

The best program to convert videos to work on this thing can be found HERE

-Pick the first one (note:this file is zipped so will need to extract it),
pick up a trial version of WinRar HERE

-Once extracted, go ahead and run the program...click ADD

Choose your input file, and output path,

Youwill need to know the resolution of your screen. Under Playertype, choose SUNPLUS AVI and select the video resolution of your Missil, 30frames/sec and the best sound/video quality and hit start.

- this process takes a while (30-60 min) depending on file size.

- Once complete, simply drag and drop (cut and paste) the converted file to to the VIDEO folder on the players drive.

3.Finally disconnect the player from the computer, it will say"pleasewait.. building playlist" once this is done you're good to go

I hope this has been helpful... and please... dont forget to rate this solution.
