Since you are using Macbook, you can go to this program USB Flash Drive Recovery for Mac for help. If you are running a computer with Windows, go to Data Recovery for Windows. It should help you out.
Note: before recovery, DO NOT save more files to the USB drive.

There is no such undo function with Vista. Take a file recovery software to recover the data as soon as possible. Recommended one is Wondershare Data Recovery. Get the program here,
Windows Data Recovery (Windows Version)
Mac Data Recovery (Mac OS version)

Take care - Before those items are recovered, stop saving more files to the drive! which means if you continue to save more files to the device there will be a possibility for them to be overwritten. Once overwritten, it is impossible to recover.

The deleted files often will not really be erased off from your hard disk. Therefore, never worry too much! In fact, these deleted files are often still stored on that Cruzer hard drive before you write new stuffs to replace them completely.
So, before they all are overwritten and damaged, you do have chances to rescue them all back with deleted file recovery software.
Simply download a proper data recovery program and follow its data recovery instructions to take everything back.
Here, read more detailed information:
How to restore deleted files from hard drive
From now on, save more copies of everything important on different devices or drives.

1. Stop using this drive immediately in case that any new file would rewrite your deleted files and make these files gone permanently.
2. Plunge this drive to a computer.
3. Download a hard drive data recovery freeware to restore all your deleted files back easily.
This data recovery freeware can deeply scan your cell phone and get back all your wanted files back successfully in the same way as it completely regained all the data of my friend back from his formatted WD hard drive.
If you are interested, you can download this hard drive data recovery freeware here:

http://freeware-fix.blogspot.com/2013/03/external-drive-data-recovery.htm

4. Save and back up every restored file on another drive or storage device in case of data recovery failure.
Good luck!

I'm unable to find some important data stored in my Sandisk micro cruzer. I'm not sure if I accidently deleted it or if it is corrupted. Please suggest if there is a way to recover the files.

If the pen drive is working, the data is there and can be recovered. I think it could be due to virus activity. Some virus make the contents of the drive hidden, thats why user can't see the files and the space available for use is less than the capacity.
It is suggested that go to FOLDER OPTIONS - and select SHOW HIDDEN FILES. It may show the hidden files. Otherwise, you can use any data recovery program to recover the data. Please not that you should not sav/write any data to avoid overwriting the existing data.

Hope this helps!

How can I recover a deleted file on my Cruzer USB stick? I don't have any security problems, I just accidentally deleted the file. Please help!

if you have choosen only delete option then you can restore it from recycle bin but in most cases the deleted files from usb drive does not go into recycle bin, rather they are pemanently deleted. if you have choosen shift+delete then there is no way that you can get the file back as shift+delete permanently deletes the files..

How to recover sandisk cruzer micro 2gb without format

Hello

My apologies if this message finds you long after posting this problem , but I am currently working through a backlog of problems that never got answered and hopefully this info can still be of use if not now possibly in future.

Please download Disc Digger HERE. This is a free tool you can use that works very well and there is no installation required, just run the program once you downloaded it.

Once you have connected the memory disk / hdd to the computer , run the program.

On the program , select the dig deep option for accidentally deleted files or dig deeper for a formatted drive. Then select the disk you want to do the recovery on and run the program.

The data will be displayed and you can recover it from there. This will only work if the card has not been used since the data was lost. Save the files to a location on the computer hard drive and not back to the disk it is recovering from as this will overwrite the other pictures that still needs to be recovered.

Some of the properties of the files may become lost in the recovery but the pictures should be fine.

You will also only be able to recover certain file types using this method.

Feel free to ask if you need more assistance.

Kind Regards
Andrea

DO NOT panic! Try this: restart your computer and plug your USB in again(this helps to clean the buffer), see if you drive can be recognized.

If you still can't access the data inside, try this data recovery program Wondershare Data Recovery. Get the program here,

Mac Data Recovery (Mac OS version)
Windows Data Recovery (Windows Version)

Take care - Before those items are recovered, stop saving more files to the USB in case the file data are overwritten!

Sandisk Cruzer Micro U3 memory problem

did you try uninstalling the U3 software?  when the u3 launchpad comes up, there should be an options link, look in there for the uninstal button.  Once you take off U3, you can't put it back on.
if you want even more space, AFTER UNINSTALLING U3, take everything you want to keep off of the drive, and put it on your computer.  make sure you remember where it is.  then, in My Computer, right-click the drive, and click Format.  for the File System box, select FAT32, make sure Quick Format is checked, then click the format button.  Make sure before clicking that button, EVEERYTHING YOU WANT TO KEEP IS OFF OF THE DRIVE!  YOU WILL BE UNABLE TO RECOVER YOUR DATA ONCE YOU FORMAT THE DRIVE!
Hope these tips help
