Question about GE JRP15 Electric Single Oven

Oven will not heat up!

Just put in a ge jrp15 single oven, the unit has power and verything else seems too work, but won't heat up? Unit is clicking, butwhich I take as the unit trying but won't move up in temp? maybe a faulty temp probe or element I just dont know, HELP ME!!

    I have the same problem! My heating element glows red, but its not heating above 125 degrees

Hi.
Probably faulty element, but you would need to test it to be sure.

This is usually a control board failure, but sometimes can be caused by the keypad. There is a procedure outlined in the tech sheet to determine which it is.

JRP 15 oven showed 350F and gave preheat beeps. Frozen lasagna "cooked" 45 mins and was still almost frozen. Oven was warm inside, not hot. Bottom element glowed orange when I increased the temp setting...


The oven was obviously not heated to 350 even though this was the setting. There is a very simple proceedure to calibrate the oven. It is different on different makes of ovens. Your owners manual will give you the detail of how to reset yours. If the manual is not available, click on the following link. Hope this is helpful.

Giving an F7 error code


There was a tag on stove that told on the error codes. Reset pad, it was somehow stuck. Thank you for your help!!

was the thermistor that connects to the heat board replaced?this is the bulb inside the oven that monitors the heat,it should have 2 wires going to the board.try wiggling these wires and see if it starts to heat,if so the thermistor is bad.
