Question about HP Pavilion dv9000z Notebook
Every once and a while it seems those three keys G H and backspace keys don't work and then they are back on. I use the onscreen keyboard to help with the fustration till they start again. It seems to happen for a few days and then no problem for a few months. Already had the mother board replaced a while back with the recall when the wireless went out. Could this be related. None of my computer friend seem to know what it could be.
Sometimes the simplest things cause us the most grief. A starting point might be to turn the laptop upside down (be careful!). Then, use some compressed air (Dust Off, etc) to blow the keyboard. If there is trash in the keyboard, you might just blow it out -- and fix the problem.
If that doesn't work, you might consider having the keyboard replaced. I normally take them off the laptop and hit them with compressed air from the back before replacing the keyboard. That's an option you should pursue only if you feel comfortable with minor dis-assembly of your laptop.
I hope this helps. If it does, please rate the solution offered. My goal is always FixYa or Helpful, never TFT or IA. Regards,
