Question about PC Desktops

1 Answer

I have just bought Office Enterprise 2007. I want to continue using Office 2000 until I can get used to 2007. Can I load 2007 onto my second hard drive and leave 2000 on the primary drive as the default. I can then try out 2007 at my leisure and copy it across to my primary drive when totally happy. Thanks Barry

If I remember correctly 2007 will find 2000 and ask about removing/deleting it .. just say no and that will install and keep. Outlook will be affected no matter what tho .. it will go to 2007 version

You should be able to find what you are looking for from this link below. But, you will still need to know what exact office suite you have. For example Office Enterprise, Office Professional, etc.

If you are using a cd make sure there are no smudges on the data side (side with no writing), if that doesnt work try coping all the files from the cd to a folder and try installation from there.

Is the account you use an administrator account? The reason I ask is I have seen similar bahavior on office 2000 where the user account does not have the rights to set up Word properly. If it is limited user, temporarily make the account administrator, load word, and then close it. then put the account back limited user if you wish, it should not need admin again. Microsoft never test their products on limited user accounts....
