Question about Lucent PARTNER18 Corded Phone

When receiver is picked up, it opens the wrong line

Whenever we pick up the phone to dial out, the phone always uses the wrong line as its default.

We have two sets of phone lines, one rings only to our desk; while the other lines are for the entire office.

I would appreciate any help if there is a way to change what line the phone uses first.

    I forgot to mention that we are using a Lucent 854 (partner-18) corded phone. ~.~

. Changing line selection on a Partner system is done on either ext 10 or 11.
At one of those ext's press the feature key and "00"
Next press the left hand intercom twice
The display should say system programming

Press the right hand intercom once. The display should say Centralized Programming.

Enter in the extension number that you want to program.

enter **
press the lit line in the order you want the to be used, i.e. line 2 then line 3 then line 4 etc.
enter ** when finished with line selection
.
Press feature "00" to logout

M7310 Non-Stop Dial Tone


Intercom button/s provide dial tone when they are pressed. They are required to call other phones on your system.
Sounds like your button is stuck or issue with the motherboard.

I've got an AT&T model 982 corded phone. Whenever I pick up the receiver or punch the speaker phone to receive or dial out, the phone beeps loudly four or five times. How do I shut that off?


That beeping is letting you know know that the batteries are low or out. There's a compartment under the phone that holds four AA batteries. Open it and replace the batteries or put in fresh ones. The beeping will stop.

Or check Auto line select.

From ext 10 or 11:
press feature 00
press left intercom twice
press right intercom once
enter extension number
press **
then press the lines in the order you want them picked up (line 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 then the intercom )
press**
press feature 00 to exit programming.

When the extension picks, it will pick up line 5. If 5 is busy, it will pick up line 4 , etc....

Default line


From your phone press PROGRAM dial 19 ENTER (or STORE) x ENTER (or STORE) then exit by pressing PROGRAM (or EXIT)

If x=0 it's no line If 1 (what you want) it's idle line if it's a 2-digit number 01-36 or the CO button, it's a line, and 3 or INTERCOM is the intercom.

Programming one-touch dialing


I'll try my instructions and see if those are the ones you used.

Press Program 99 the button to program, dial 2+9 or whatever you use to get an outside line, and the number STORE.

Program exits programming.

Now, just press the button and it will automatically dial or you can pick up the handset and press the button.

How do I get "call pickup" to work on a KXTES-824?


Two of the above codes work for me, so let's figure out what you're doing. First of all, did you convert the intercom calls to ringing on all calls? If I have auto answer turned on, I can't pick up anything.

If the phone is ringing, I can use 40 and 41xx to pick it up. I can retrieve a call from hold by dialing 53x where x is the line number on hold (just in case you're trying this with a cordless or single line set).

By default, all extensions are in pickup group 1, but 41xx directed call pickup will always work if the Call pickup deny is properly set as you indicated

Lucent partner 18 D phone no sound when I pick up the receiver


The plug going into the phone was not secure. Once it was fully plugged in it was operational. I was making a big problem out of a little one. I thought in cleaning the phone without unplugging it first I somehow messed with the programming. I was wrong. Thanks for trying to help.

RCA 25202 Default to Line 2


only when you have call foward from one line to the othe when in use. so lets say line 1 is in use then line 2 will ring but now line 1 is open and its ringing (activate forward ) and will go to line 2 and be able to be picked up.
