The "sticker" could be an anti-shoplifting sensor packed with the unit. I had one in mine, the "silver lines" were in a series of squares (or loops) radiating from the centre of the "sticker". I can't remember if it was in the thermostat housing but it did fall out of the packaging at one point.

How to revive tarnished silver (Pure or plated)

Hello,

This tip is very useful for people who deal regularly with silver like coin collectors and Silver plated cuttlery owners. The thing is silver usually gets tarnished when it is in conatct with air for very long periods like years and decades. but this can be reversed pretty easily. Following are the items you will need.

1. tarnished silver
2. Gas burner (household gas stove will do)
3. Any tool or a plier to hold the siver item.
4. Mittens (optional)

Set the gas burner at a high flame and start heating the siver item, heat it until you see that the black areas are starting to turn into a whitish silver colour. Heat it until all areas turn silver colour. Thats pretty much it. Try not to heat the siver to the point where it turns red hot because it will cause it to melt also be extra careful with silver jewellery becuase it can be fragile. and other gems or stones etc may not respond well to this much heat.

Thanx for reading.

Freezer fan is noisey and can t find serial number

The number you will need is the model number. On side by side models there are a few places to look. 1- inside fridge on right or left wall. 2- Open fridge door and look up near the top front lip. 3- Open both doors and look on body of fridge under the doors. 4- Fridge door sometimes there is a sticker right when you open. Mostly you are looking for a silver sticker or silver plate. It gives you a model number and serial number. If you need further assistance please mail me back.

Switch a rheem thermostat to a hunter thermostat for heat pump

You can take the front cover off of your programmable thermostat. Unscrew approximately 2 screws that attach the base plate of the thermostat to the wall. Look in the back of the base plate after removing it from the wall to see how the 2 or 3 different colored wires (ex: red, green, black) are hooked up. Make note of this. Remove the wires from the back of the base plate and attach the wires to the same posts that they were connected to on the original base plate you removed. I believe the posts on the back of the base plates are color coded. (Ex: attach green wire to where it says GRN on back of base plate).
Make sure the thermostat that you are replacing and the new thermostat are similiar in shape, otherwise you will have make repairs to cover up a space that may appear around the new thermostat.

Good luck!

Can't change my thermostat from fahrenheit to celsius.

When you do your system setup, Function 320 controls your temp. format. Set Function 320 to 1(celsius); Then press DONE. This will solve your problem.( Function 320 is defaulted to 0-Farenheit).
