DU on display

Recently a washcloth went under and plugged the drain. Removed that and we also replaced lid lock. Now when turn on 50 comes up for washing and turns right to dU on display. What does that mean?

Okay...it took me a while to find this information and make some sense of it. The "50" indicates a motor stall. That means the RPS sensor (which is located near the main drive motor ) does not sense any movement of the main drive motor under the wash tub. This could be related to your next error code which is the "DU". This is an "Door Unlock" error. You will need to perform the following checks if washer fails to lock (or unlock).

1. Perform Manual: Door Switch and Manual: Door Lid Lock tests.
2. Remove the console to access the machine/motor control assembly. This is accomplished by loosening the three screws in the back of the console. With the screws loosened, the panel lifts from the back first. Use care when handling as there is a small connector that connects to the operator interface board.
3. Locate the machine.motor control board on the right hand side (as viewed from the front of the washer). Visually check that the P12 connector is inserted all the way into the machine/motor
control. (There are three connectors on the right hand side of the control board. They are labeled as follows: BROWN (P10), BLUE (P11), and ORANGE (P12)
If visual check passes, go to step 4. If visual check fails, reconnect P4 and repeat step 1.
4. Check the lid lock motor winding and switches by removing P12 from the machine/
motor control and checking the resistance values shown in the Lid Lock resistance table below:

Motor Winding - Check P12-2 to P12-3 - 26 ohms (Lock Switch locked and unlocked).
Lock Switch Home - Check P12-1 to P12-4 - 0 ohms (Unlocked) Open Circuit (Locked).
Lock Switch Lock - Check P12-1 to P12-7 - Open Circuit (Unlocked) 0 ohms (Locked).
Lock Switch Lid - Check P12-1 to P12-5 - Lid Open (Open Circuit) Lid Closed (0 ohms).
LID LOCK RESISTANCE
If resistance values are good, proceed to step 5. If the switch measurements ae incorrect for unlocked (or locked) conditions, a problem exists in the door lid lock. Replace the door lid lock.
5. If the Manual: Door Switch or Manual: Door Lid Lock in step 1 failed, then the machine/motor control has failed: Unplug washer or disconnect power. Replace machine/motor control assembly.

There should be a tech sheet inside your washer that you can also get this information from. I have referenced these steps from the tech sheet. To access, you can either lift the washer from the front and reach the inside the cabinet from under the washer, or lift the top panel by pushing in on the release tabs. This is accomplished by inserting a putty knife along the seam where the top meets the front about two inched in from each side. Push in while lifting to release the tabs. CAUTION: Make sure you hold on to the washer lid to prevent it from swinging open as you lift the top.

The tech sheet is located on the inside of the front panel of the washer between the wash tub and cabinet interior. I mention this as there are helpful drawings and more detailed explanations to assist you. This can help avoid confusion from me explaining these steps to you. Since you mentioned you had just recently replaced the lid lock, you may double check your work to make sure you have everything reconnected correctly. Barring you purchased a bad part...if the lid lock proves to be good, you may have a defective control board.

I do hope you find this information helpful. Let me know if you require further assistance.

Error code " du "

DU = Door Unlock code

Washing machine displays error code F/DU after six attempts to unlock.
-Door lock assembly failed.
-Test door lock switch
-Visually inspect wire harness connection on CCU, Door lock assembly, replace door lock assembly.

The door lock assemble on this washing machine can be replaced from either the top of the front. The door boot can be removed or the top of the washer can be removed.

Hope this helps.

I have a Oasis, model 110 270 826 02, serial #CT3270410, that I just had the touch pad ERC control part (8564392) replaced last week. Today when I went to use it, the DU comes up on the control panel...

The DU error code indicates that the control detects a problem with the washer door (lid) unlocking. In this situation, the failure is normally caused by a failed door lock assembly. I provided technical information on this failure in the first image below. You can use this information if necessary to verify a failed lid lock assembly. The control is apparently sending the voltage to the lid lock mechanism to unlock the door but is not sensing that the lid is unlocked. There is a chance that you have a wiring failure or a bad control board so it is best to thoroughly diagnose the failure if possible before replacing components. Be sure that you unplug the washer before accessing internal components. If you determine that you have a failed lid lock assembly, you can use the procedure shown in the second image below to replace this component.

I have a du code that will not go off and the door is locked.

The F30 error code (dU) will flash when the dispenser motor cannot be driven to its proper position.

Door Unlock Error

A Door Unlock Error occurs if the door cannot be unlocked.
It will try to unlock the door 6 times before displaying the error.

Door Lock Mechanism broken.
Check Door Lock/Switch Assembly for foreign objects
Check Wire Harness connections to the Door Lock/Switch Assembly and Central Control Unit (CCU)
Door Lock/Switch Assembly Failure

If it is a cabrio:
dU flashes if the following conditions occur:
Excessive force on door lid is preventing lock bolt from retracting.
Wash media buildup is preventing lock bolt from retracting.
Machine/motor control cannot determine if door lid is in an unlocked state.

TEST #8 Door Lid Lock
Perform the following checks if washer fails to lock (or unlock).
1. Perform Manual: Door Switch and Manual: Door Lid Lock tests.
2. Remove the console to access the machine/ motor control assembly. See Accessing & Removing the Electronic Assemblies.
3. Visually check that the P12 connector is inserted all the way into the machine/motor control. If visual check passes, go to step 4. If visual check fails, reconnect P4 and repeat step 1.
4. Check the lid lock motor winding and switches by removing P12 from the machine/ motor control and checking the
resistance values....

Component/Resistance Unlocked/Resistance Locked/Contacts Measured/Contacts Measured:

Motor Winding/35 ±5 O/35 ±5 O/P12-2/P12-3/
Lock Switch - Home/0 O/Open Circuit/P12-1/P12-4
Lock Switch - Lock/Open Circuit/0 O/P12-1/P12-7
Lock Switch - Lid/Lid Closed = 0 OLid Open = Open Circuit/Lid Closed = 0 O Lid Open = Open Circuit/P12-1/P12-5

If resistance values are good, go to step 5. If switch measurements do not match the values shown in the table for unlocked (or locked) conditions, a problem
exists in the door lid lock. Replace the door lid lock.

5. If the Manual: Door Switch or Manual: Door Lid Lock in step 1 failed, then the machine/motor control has failed: Unplug washer or disconnect power.
Replace machine/motor control assembly. Perform the Manual: Door Switch and Manual: Door Lid Lock in step 1 to verify repair.

I am getting the code on my frontload washer F du, it is making a clicking sound the water starts to fill , then the code comes up..I am not able to find this code in my manual ..I am thinking that maybe...

The DU in the display is an error code for the door lid not unlocking. This is an indication that the lid lock assembly has failed or the control board is unable to determine if the lid is unlocked. This usually indicates that the lid lock assembly will need to be replaced.

DU on display readig

In reference to this problem, I have already posted a solution under another posting of yours, but failed to mention that you may also try unplugging the washer for at least 30 minutes FIRST. In some cases, this is all that is required to clear momentary glitches with the control board. If the problem is not as simple as that, please follow the advice I provided to you and let me know if you need further assistance.
