How do i create a playlist on this mp3 player? i have no instruction manual as it was given second hand to me. i have succesfully transferred music from my laptop to the mp3 player but want now to create a playlist for the gym of my favourite songs but don't know what to do. i would be most obliged for any help you could give me. thank you
You will have to, unfortunately, set up your Windows Media Player for Auto-Sync (has definite drawbacks - inclduing: adding songs, pictures, etc that you DON'T want into the GoGear). Playlists can only be synchronized to your player via “auto sync”. Autosync will automatically synchronize your Windows Media Player library content and your player content each time you connect your Player to the PC. If you use the “manual” sync option the tracks in the playlist will transfer to your player but the playlist itself will not.

There are two ways in which you can add a playlist.... 1......by using your playlist via the player... 2......or by creating one using the computer....
First lets see the one using the player...all you have to do is go to the song navigate option...highligh the song that you wan to add to your playlist and then click the record button.you will be given two choices..one add to my playlist and two erase.....click the add to my playlist option and you will have the song added to you r playlist.....
second method is create a normal playlist using windows media player with the correct directories in the player and then copy the file to the player... now when you press the menu button for a second or two in the songs menu...you will be displayed two choices....one file navigator and the other is playlists.... click the playlists option to access the playlists....
Sync a blank playlist to the iPod. You can create a playlist by clicking the + in the bottom left of iTunes. Then click on your iPod fromt the left hand side, click Music, and select ONLY that new blank playlist you just created.

OK so it is a little confusing on how to create a playlist, I am about to make your headaches go away on this issue.
1.Plug your mp3 player into your computer.
2.Go to my computer and open your mp3 player in windows.
3.go to your folder on your mp3 player that you have files folders etc.. that you would like to add to a playlist.
4.right click on folder and choose "create playlist"
5.Name your playlist.
thats it ! you should now have a playlist on your MP3 player, I hope this helps.
You MUST use Windows Media Player 10 - Windows Media Player 9 or 11 will not transfer the playlist correctly. Once you have version 10 installed, then the instructions in the HDD6330 user manual will be accurate.
According to the manual for most GoGear's, you have to have automatic synchronization enabled in Windows Media Player for the playlists to transfer correctly.I still have not been able to verify if this is true, since I have been able to transfer playlists fine with and without auto-sync engaged.
I haven't tried a 3115 specifically, but with an SA4111 and an SA5125, I just created the playlist in Windows Media Player 11, right clicked on the playlist name after it was created, selected "Add to Sync List," and then "Start Sync" with GoGear connected. I used this method, because it seemed more likely to add the songs AS A PLAYLIST rather than just dragging and dropping the tracks WITHIN the playlist.
As I look more closely at the documentation for the SA3115, however, it does not have the same playlists options as other GoGear's - it seems to limit you to Playlist-on-the-Go. I know that the GoGear will not recognize folders that you create in Windows Explorer, so that option is out. You can connect the GoGear, and see if a Playlists folder appears in the left-hand pane underneath the icon of the GoGear in the Sync tab. My gut feeling, however, is that this player is just not as equipped as other GoGear models for playlist transfer. I'll go back to the lab on tuesday and see if I can find anything new.
There is another way but that is called Favorites. First go to settings on the player and enable advance then go to one of your songs and press the select button then it will give you an option that says add to favorites? choose the check mark to add that songs to your playlist. Also there is a way to add playlist using windows media player. The steps given would be for windows media player 10. First click on the Library Tab thecn click on the arrow for the Now Playing List choose New List then Playlist, now add songs to your newly created playlist by dragging them to the drag items here window after you have choosen all the songs you like click on Now Playing List and choose Save Playlist As.. After saving the playlist change the settings of the player to Autodetect and connect the player to the computer. Now wait for it to be detected by the computer and click on SYNC tab on the windows media player software. There are two windows the left is where you will choose the playlist the right your mp3 player. Choose the playlist that you have created and click on START SYNC now it will be transferring the playlist to your mp3 player just go to Music then Playlist. Hope this helps :D
