Here is how to do a factory reset:

(remove cover, unplug battery, while holding down * & # keys, plug in battery, then let keys go. Now press top right 3rd soft key below LCD display and reset eprom. Place in base and re-register. If you get 'Registration Failed' then press End & # together until it says 'Registered'. Otherwise, you may have to get it repaired/replaced according to Uniden).

Here is the SOLUTION
1) Charge the handset batteries for 15-20 hours.
2)Place the handset in the main base charging cradle to begin the registration process.(HANDSET REGISTERING will appear on the LCD
3) After approx. 5 seconds REGISTRATION COMPLETE will be displayed in the LCD to indicate the completion of the registration process. If REGISTRATION FAILED appears, remove the handset from the cradle and repeat steps 2 - 3.
OR
REGISTERING a TCX905 accessory handset:
1) Charge the handset batteries for 15-20 hours.
2)With the base in standby, press and hold th [REGISTATION] key on the bottom of the base until the charge/in use LED begins to flash.(approx. 5 seconds)
3)On the TCX905 handset,press and hold[#]key until you hear a beep.(HANDSET REGISTERING will appear in the LCD)
4) After approx. 5 seconds REGISTRATION COMPLETE will be displayed in the LCD to indicate the completion of the registration process. IF REGISTRAtion failed APPEARS REPEAT STEPS 2 - 4.

I have contacted Uniden about solving this problem. They suggested I clear the eeprom on the handsets and reset the base. To clear the eeprom detach all of the batteries and reattach while holding the star and pound. You'll hear a beep. Press select and the unit will clear the eeprom. Now hit end and the unit will say "Welcome...something or other". Next unplug the base unit reattach while holding delete. Next hit delete twice...the base is reset. Apparently this is the last possible solution to marrying the handsets and base. This didn't work for me and the units have been declared dead. Good luck in solving your electronic problems...................

Hello kph5,

Did you already placed your handset on your phone's base? If you have diferent handsets place them all in the phone's base for about 5 minutes each.

Record message on panasonic phone


The KX-TGA101S is just the handset. The message is handled by whatever base or answering machine you have on your phone line. Please refer to the manual for the base/answering machine.

Hello
Connect the phone line and power UP the base unit. Place the handset on base to get charged. It must reset automatically when you place the handset on base to charge. If not; resetting both handset and base unit is necessary.
Resetting the Handset

You may need to reset your handset in the following instances:

You lose a handset and purchase a new one. When you try and register to your existing base you get registration

failure.

You are unable to register any handsets to the base.

You had a base which needed to be exchanged by the manufacturer. When you register your existing handsets

to the base, the handsets say #3 and #4, but you only have 2 handsets.

When you are instructed to by the one of the manufacturer's call center representatives.

To reset, do the following:

Press and hold [ ] and [#] for more than 5 seconds. Select DEREGISTER HS.

WHICH HANDSET? appears. Select the handset that you want to de-register, and press the OK soft key.

DEREGISTER HS appears. Select YES, and press the OK soft key.

ARE YOU SURE? appears. Select YES, and press the OK soft key. You will hear a confirmation tone. The

handset will clear its registration information from the base, and then delete its own base information.

MODELS VARY! PLACE HANDSET ON THE BASE FOR REGISTRATION OR REFER TO OWNER'S MANUAL. To

re-register the handset to the base (see page 25).

If the handset cannot contact the base, it will display OUT OF RANGE. Make sure the handset is in range of the

base and the base is connected to power.

Note: It is also possible to reset the handset back to its original factory settings. All changes including Caller ID information

will be erased. For more information on resetting the handset back to factory settings and when you need to

do this, see www.uniden.com or call our Customer Service Hotline. See back cover page for contact information.

Resetting the Handset without the Base

If your original base is not available for some reason (for example, it is lost or somehow incapacitated), you can still

reset the handset and use it with another base.

Press and hold [ ] and [#] for more than 5 seconds.

Move the cursor to select BASE UNAVAILABLE and then press the OK soft key.

BASE UNAVAILABLE appears.

Move the cursor to select YES, and then press the OK soft key. ARE YOU SURE?

appears.

Move the cursor to select YES, and then press the OK soft key. You will hear a confirmation tone. The handset

will delete its own base information without trying to contact the base. When the base information is deleted,

the handset displays MODELS VARY! PLACE HANDSET ON THE BASE FOR REGISTRATION OR REFER
TO OWNER'S MANUAL. Register the handset to the new base (see page 25). of its user manaul.

I have uniden cordless phone model dxa15588-2, how do I register handset on base?


1-Press the hangup key (represented by a red phone) and the "#" key at the same time for at least five seconds.
2-Select "Deregister hs." Choose the handset and press the "Select" key (which also shows an envelope for messages).
3- Choose "Yes" to confirm deregistration. The phone clears its registration information from the base and deletes the link from its memory. The message "Handset not registered -- place handset on base to register. See owner's manual for help" now shows on the display. If you are out of range of the base, "Out of range" shows.
4-Place the handset in the base charging cradle. The phone automatically selects a new security code from those stored in the base.
5-Make sure your phone is working again after "Registration Complete" shows on the display

The problem of searching.....

After trying all the technician's suggestions had failed; I disconnected the base to return it to the store for replacement. Then I decided to try disconnecting and reconnecting power and phone line, placed handset back on base and the phone reset itself and is working fine...

Recap:

Disconnect power and phone line from base for about 30 seconds and reconnect both power and phone line to base and place handset back on base; it should reset...

SOLUTION to AT&T Cordless Telephone/Answering System 4 phone set Model E5634B - Cannot answer incoming calls nor does caller ID work on phones.
Unplug the base for a few minutes, plug base back in, remove and reinsert the battery on each phone that does not work, then place each handset in the base for few minutes. Worked for me...all 4 phones can be answered and caller ID works!!! Hope this works for you... :o)

I charged my three brand new GE model 25922 for 24 hours, placed each handset in the main base to satisfy the "PLEASE REGISTER" message and the message remains. The only instruction in the manual as well as on the 800 448-0329 # is to place each handset in the base unit for 20 seconds.

The message on crystal reads"no link to base. Move closer to base, try again". I put in a new battery in each phone and not sure if they are charging. i keep getting the same message. What is the problem and how do I solve it?
