Hi,
a 6ya Technician can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repair professionals here in the US.
click here to Talk to a Technician (only for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Goodluck!

Mm50 as extension from MacBook

Your Logitech MM50 has an auxiliary input that accepts industry standard 1/8" (3.5mm) stereo cables. The Macbook's headphone out jack with the icon of a small set of headphones is the audio out. You will need a male to male cable which is available from Radio Shack for a few dollars.

Friends ipod through my macbook ...

There's no way to play music on an iPod without the music being on the iPod already. You would need to copy the music over, and then play it. You can do so by allowing hidden folders to be viewed, and then going into the ipod_control file -> music -> f01-f49 in your ipod. The unfortunate thing is: The files are in no particular order, and have only four letter names. Good Luck.

Ipod drivers

Hey,

You need to have iTunes, the driver for the ipod comes with itunes, if your ipod is still not recognized you may have a faulty device.

Download of ipod music to my MacBook library

if you have plugged the Windows formatted ipod into your mac and then formatted it using the mac, there will be no music left on the ipod. if you want to retain the windows format and the music currently on the ipod, you must say "no" to any offer to format the ipod that the mac itunes may prompt you with.
if you haven't formatted it, then you can use third party programs such as yamipod which allows you to copy music from ipod to your desktop which you can then import into itunes. search google for yamipod.
