The pump for this machine is located underneath the unit, lean the machine back, remove (3) 5/16 screws across the front bottom panel and remove the panle, the pump will be in the rear right side mounted upside down, wiht 2 hoses comin off the bak, the will be waterin the pump area( maybe as much as 2 gallonns so be prepared to get wet.

does the motor hum? It is either a bad motor, clogged pump, or a bad timer

Motor hums but won't start

chances are the pump is blocked as well and unable to spin

My Electrolux washer will not drain water or fill water, it will spin. It is also making a humming noise

You need to check for the Humming noise as this can be the indicator to the problem, if this comes from the motor then the capacitor is faulty. Failure to switch on the INLET and the DRAIN pump can be related to fault in the control panel or this can also be due to faulty electric line voltage on the outlet.. So please check this out.
Also check the inlet and drain filters for clogging as a clogged drain pump can also hum.

My front loading GE washer WSSH300 will not drain.

Don't know if this will help or not, but your owners manual is available at http://genet.geappliances.com/DocSearch/Dispatcher
Water won’t drain
Drain hose is kinked or •
Straighten drain hose and make sure washer is not improperly connected sitting on it. Top of drain outlet should be less than 8 ft. (2.5 m)
above floor. Household drain may • Check household plumbing. You may need to call be clogged a plumber. Plumbing this washer directly to a pipe is hard on the motor. Usually the drain hose elbow is inserted in a stand pipe, meaning the washer would drain water on the floor is the stand pipe is clogged.
Several items can cause the lack of draining.
If you can get to the drain hose, try lowering to a point that it will drain into a bucket. If it drains the system is not clogged. If you advance the timer and the washer drains this maybe the culprit. The motor can overheat and shut off. I would advance the timer to spin and listen for a hum in the motor and then quiet, a sign that the motor has overheated. If the water drains it sounds like the timer is at fault.
I would first make sure the drain hose is properly installed and not kinked somewhere. In earlier GE's the water drain pump could clog, your manual doesn't indicate that as a defect. Regardless timer, motor and pump are in the cycle to empty the washer water.

Frigidaire Affinity washer: Straining water pump? Humming.

more than likely the pump is clogged if you pull the the washer out away from the wall and then lean it back to get under it there is a hole to access the under side you can reach through to the pump then disconnect the large hose that goes from the tub to pump reach down inside of this hose remove the cup that has debris in it and clear it out remove the debris and reassemble the washer

Water will npot comw out.humming noise

Sounds like a bad motor, but there are things you can check before replacing it.Check for an obstruction in the pump by taking off drain hose from the pump and look for clog. Or check to see if washer belt is burnt or slipping causing the motor to bind.

Washer will not drain

90% chance that is the pump is pumping water at all, there is blockage between the tub and the drain pump. If there is no water coming out of the drain line. either extremely clogged(odd) or pump motor is bad, and windings are not allowing rotation.

Sounds like pump is trying to move but water still won't drain

There's a good possibility that the pump impeller or motor could have been damaged by whatever was clogging it up. It doesn't take much to break them. If the drain lines are clear, and you have verified no clogs between the drain tub and the pump (I have found wash clothes and socks stuck here before), then I would recommend a pump replacement. I'm assuming the electrical connection is good, since you stated that you could hear the pump running. If you need instructions on how to replace the pump you can use the following link:

http://www.fixya.com/support/r401845-replacing_drain_pump_whirlpool_duet

I know the symptom I listed is for a pump that is not running, but there are situations where the pump will continue to run, but still won't pump water.

To answer the next possible question...No, I don't think the motor is sold as a separate part. I did not see it listed that way. If you go to searspartsdirect.com and type in your serial number, the part can be located as item number 10 (part # 8181684) under the "Pump and Motor Parts" heading. If you do not wish to purchase on line, use the part number provided and go to your nearest appliance parts retailer. I hope this helps you. Let me know if you need further assistance.

Stuck between cycles

It seams to me that your pump and/or water outlet is clogged. Humming noise comes from the water pump as it tries to pump out water. You should unplug the machine, unclog the outlet pipe if it is clogged. While you're at it check if the filter in front of the pump isn't clogged too.
