Bring the mp3 player and say that you lost your USB cable and that you'd like to buy a new one fr it... The person will probably inspect the port on your mp3 player and then look for one

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

What type of USB cable do I need for a Coby MP-C7095 (2GB) MP3 player? I need to buy a new one because I lost original.

Oops, now I see the model number.

I can't figure out whether the USB cable that this model uses is proprietary or standard. From pictures of it, it appears to be a standard cable (probably "mini B"), but I'm not sure. Your best bet is to take the player to your local electronics store and ask an employee.

I know the exactly what you are talking about, and yes, you can most certainly buy this cable at most electric stores. You can also try music stores and computer hardware shops.

Cable

Just find out what kind of connection it is (or bring it to a store with you) and ask someone. Generally, digital cameras are MicroUSB.

Connecting

you can buy another one... the USB connector is the same as most digital cameras and is inexpensive... you might want to bring the broken cable in when you get a new one so you can make sure you get the right one... there are USB cables that LOOK similar, but theres enough of a difference to where it won't work, so bringing that cable in can help you get the right one... especially if you end up asking the sales clerks for help... good luck

This is a well know fault with the m240. The easiest fix is to take it back to the store you bought it from and get a replacement :)
