Took the finish off on areas

Didn't take the time to wait until the hot surface light had gone off and proceeded to clean the areas which didn't come off easy with the cleaner. Being in a hurry I used my nail to try to get area cleaned. Have taken finish off in small areas. Is there anything I can do?

Find it hard to belive you would remove the finish with your fingernail, espacially if it was hot, thinkin youd melt your nail, but whatever, applying the cream to stubborn spots and then scraping them off with a razor blade, held flat not using hte point, is the best way to remove stains, and if the finish has been tremoved ther is nothin to to short of replacing the main top assembly

What type of transmission fluid and how much goes in a 1994 ford escort wagon? I just had it rebuilt and they didn't put much back in it. It barley reads on the stick.

When you read it, make sure the engine and trans are hot, the vehicle is in park, and you're on a level surface.
Ford uses Mercon ATF. Just add 1/4 of a quart at a time until it reads OK on the dipstick.

How do i use my bissell 7920

The 7920 is a great little carpet shampooing vacuum. Look up manual information for detailed assembly and starting/breakdown procedures. Make certain that the carpet/floor has been vacuumed previous to cleaning with the shampooer! The small nozzle opening will get clogged with as little as a toothpick or cheerio! Step on the rear release arm pedal and drop the handle down to the floor, Pull up on the resevoir bucket handle and place the handle of the resevoir back down to open the top of the tank and fill the bladder with hot water. Replace bucket top and place bucket back into vacuum. Raise the handle until it clicks into place. Fill on board soap/shampoo dispenser by lifting out of chamber on unit and fill with appropriate Bissell or upright shanpoo cleaner. Replace unit and make certain the top is tight. Plug unit in and turn on both vaccuum switch and preheat water switch and wait approx. 2 minutes to get water hot enough to proceed with cleaning. Start by rollling cleaner onto carpet and engage trigger approx 2-3' pathway away from you and then release trigger and draw vacuum /shamppoooer back over wetted area, repeat without using water again unless heavier traffic area. Do not over wet area draw unit back and forth a few times until water runs clear thru the front clear window. Proceed to make another path along side cleaned area and so on.
Once you hear the water run out or you have finished cleaning an area then shut of heater and vacuum. release handle with foot pedal release and lift out bucket and pour out dirty water and rinse area/tank /resevoir etc. You should also clean the small red filter in the resevoir of any debris by popping out and replacing. Also, there is an onboard filter under the clear window (where spinner is located) . unscrew clear top , take out spinner device and pull out small plastic screen and rinse or blowout. Clean also the front clear cover if there is debris, by rinsing off with sprayer or wiping clean. You may also find that you have to take off the clear plastic hood window, by unscrewing two screws on either side of nozzle opening (top ) and rinse out as well. Do not, get water under unit into motor area. Place unit upright and in a warm place.. Do not let freeze if in climate that is known to freeze. Good luck cleaning!!

Countertops
Cleaning All Finishes
Most dirt & residue
Use soapy water, ammonia based cleaner (not window cleaner), rinse and wipe completely dry. Commercially available solid surface cleaners, such as Clean EnCounters® will also work well.
Preventing hard water marks
Rinse and wipe completely dry after cleaning; clean up spills before they dry.
Removing hard water marks
Use a cleaner formulated for removing hard water marks such as CLR or Lime-A-Way.
Difficult residue
Spray residue with Deep Cleaner for DuPont Corian® from Stone Care International. Follow instructions on the bottle. Wash area with soapy water, rinse and wipe completely dry. If residue persists, follow steps below for removing dulling film.
Disinfecting
Occasionally, wipe surface with diluted household bleach (1 part water/1 part bleach). Rinse top thoroughly with water and wipe completely dry.

Preventing Heat Damage
While Corian® is heat resistant, as with all countertop materials, it is important to minimize direct heat exposure to protect your surface and investment.

DO NOT PLACE HOT POTS, PANS, ETC. DIRECTLY ON THE COUNTERTOP SURFACE.
Always use heat trivets or hot pads when placing hot objects on any surface. Always use a trivet under portable heat generating appliances such as a toaster oven. Allow cookware to cool before placing it into a Corian® sink. Preventing Other Damage
In most cases Corian® can be repaired if damaged. Be sure to follow these guidelines to help you prevent any permanent damage to your Corian®.

  • Avoid getting strong chemicals, such as paint removers, oven cleaners, etc., on your Corian® countertop. If a spill does occur, promptly flush the surface with water to fully rinse off the chemical.
  • Do not cut directly on Corian® countertops. Use a cutting board.
  • Boiling water alone will not damage your Corian® sink, however it is a recommended practice to run cold water from the faucet while pouring boiling water into the sink.
Removing fine scratches or a blotchy appearance
You may notice that the surface of your countertop begins to look blotchy. Typically, this is caused by leaving hard water to dry on the surface which will leave a film of minerals. To remove this film:
  • Pour some mild abrasive liquid cleanser, such as Soft Scrub®, on a damp sponge or cloth and rub over area using small circular motions, from the front to the back, then side to side, overlapping the circles until the entire area has been cleaned.
  • Thoroughly rinse the top with clean water and WIPE SURFACE COMPLETELY DRY.
  • Check to see if blotchiness is gone. If not, repeat procedure applying more pressure on the sponge or rag.
  • Continue over all affected areas until all film is removed.
Your new Corian® installation entitles you to certain quality assurance standards as provided in this Residential Limited Warranty. To obtain information and service under this warranty, contact the source from whom you purchased your DuPont™ Corian® installation or DuPont at www.Corian.com or call 1-800-426-7426.ifrcor_corianwarranty_10

Vauxhall tigra 1996 1400.replaced rear brakes and bled them but the pedal is still soft when braking.

hi. im sure that brake pads are the right reference to your car, but did you cut the disc surface? if you didn´t you must wait until the brake pad surface be in complet contact with the disc surface, meanwile your pedal brake will be to soft because it makes kind of elastic movement in the brake pump. maybe that´s the problem, just wait a few more brakes and see what happens. hope this help you.

Blender bottom stuck

I tried the vinegar thing but it didn't quite work. We blended some smoothies with yogurt and it leaked through the bottom. No big deal, we tightened it up. We didn't clean it immediately. By the time we went to clean it, it was stuck. The vinegar didn't work, tried baking soda with vinegar, didn't work. Finally we ran the bottom underneath hot water for about 5-10 minutes. Finally after one strong turn the bottom came off. We have an oyster, the base can be used as well to take the bottom off but it turns counter-clockwise.
