Question about Nintendo DS Lite Console
I turn the game on and the green light goes on but the screen doesn't remains blank and there is also no noise. The time before this, I had a little problem getting the game to kick in and play, turned it off and on and took the cartridge in and out and then it played. But now nothing. This game has only been played like 20 times. The battery is fully charged.
Top LCD's flex cable that passes through right-hand hinge into bottom part of case will be damaged or not properly seated in its connector socket.

sounds like you both have a lose connection on the circuit board, so easily done, even if one cable is slightly misaligned the ds will not turn on, do they charge o.k?? if so it is a faulty connection

If your DS switches on briefly with a green light and a flash from the screens then one of your screens is faulty, could be a easy as re-seating the connection for it. If not changing the screen most often the top one.
If the orange light comes on when plugged in its probably the fuse called F1 on the motherboard. You can jump it out with a bit of wire to test it, then if that works change it.
