Hi i have a toshiba a100-147 equium running windows vista runs fine on its battery but when i connect the power a/c the computer freezes and wont do anything at all !

No, I'm wrong? The Flat Flex Cable (FFC) does come out of a ZIF connector on the Power Button Board? You may wind up buying the Power Button Board, and Flat Flex Cable, then.
Or you may find a 'Mom and Pop' computer store, that can repair the cable.

I think the BIOS might be fried on the motherboard and thats causing the no video then. It would need to be replaced. Let me know the exact model and I can verify for you if the correct BIOS was installed so at least you can know for sure about that.
