Question about Hotpoint WF430 Front Load Washer
I have a hotpoint WF430, which runs fine until it goes into spin mode, as soon as the spin cycle kicks in the noise is unbearable.
Could this be the suspension legs being shot at, or could it be a loose balast weight?
It could be loose balance weight, or worn drum bearings.
Remove belt and spin drum by hand from the inside, if you can hear a rumbling noise, or any noise, or it feels stiff to turn then the bearings have failed
If it is under 5 years old, then it should still be under warrenty provided you did not buy it from Comet or Currys.
If it is balance weight, you will be able to feel movement, there is one at top and one at bottom of m/c.

It sounds the worn out drum bearings. Due to the ingress of water into the bearings they are extremely difficult to remove, so if you're not a d.i.y person then I would advise to get replaced by someone. It take a considerable amount of time to replace. You have to literally take the whole machine apart to get to them.
