Ok you reset your bios by given process

Yet another way to clear the CMOS is to reseat the CMOS battery. By removing and then reinstalling the CMOS battery, you remove the source of power that saves your computer's BIOS settings.

Another way to clear the CMOS is to short the "CLEAR CMOS" jumper on your motherboard, assuming you have one (most motherboards do).

How do i locate the hp probook 4520s BIOS password jumper on the motherboard

4520s.
you failed because of one reason, you asked on fixya not HP'
why ask here, there are no HP(few) folks here, they are all over at HP, real forum.?
bios resets are tricky,
the new rules changed with UEFI BIOS and or TPM chips added.
back in 2007 the mobo had reset jumper, (mine desktop does)
but not my 2008 elitebook laptop, due to the TPM rules.

first the link to your books
https://support.hp.com/us-en/product/HP-ProBook-4520s-Notebook-PC/4145198

those cover most issues, you will have. all by HP direct,
page 126 here is not too clear;.
the answer is here
your PC is fully locked now, there is no way to reset it .
without HP direct intervention (fixya can never ever do that)
the send you a special binary flash file that only works on YOUR PC (a fact and is by DESIGN)

never use a BIOS password, unless you write it down and hide the paper in a book you know, where it is. (got books?) i know books are now (dead technology but)>?
if you guess and start flashing BIOS, you will BRICK THIS PC.

Hi,

Just set the BIOS configuration to its default settings. Simply access the BIOS again and on the BIOS, Press F9 and select "Yes or press Y" to load BIOS defaults and Press F10 to Save and Exit BIOS setup.

Thank you for visiting FixYa!

(Emachines: intel pentium 4) Everytime i turn on my computer it requests for a system password, and im unable to use my restore cd.

That's known as a BIOS password. If you clear the BIOS, you can possibly avoid asking who set the password, but then you have to be able to set up the BIOS acceptably, about which you can google around for details. Asking around (to others who use the system, in case it's not just you) might let you know something new. Perhaps someone set it from within a utility rather than directly via the BIOS, and perhaps it's a soft error and entering '0' or '00000000' or 'password' or some such default password will avail.

Beeps twice every couple of minutes while the computer is on

the computer is over heating.

this is usually caused by a build up of dust particles on the heatsink.

1.) open the computer
2.) locate the processor fan and heatsink on the main board
3.) you can eighter replace or clean it
4.) flash your bios by removing the battery on the main board. hold the power button for 15 - 30 seconds, replace battery
5.) your system will boot then stall, It will say something like
press F2 to load default settings. press that key e.g F2

Thats it your done.

How do I reset bios on HP laptop?

To restore the BIOS default setting, open the BIOS Setup screen as follows:

(i) Turn off the computer and wait five seconds.

(ii) Turn on the computer.

(iii) When the first screen displays:

(a) Immediately press the F10 key if your computer was built in 2006 or later (came with Vista).

(b) Press the F1 key if your computer was built before 2006 (XP or earlier). Press the key once every second until a BIOS Setup utility screen opens.

NOTE: On some Compaq Presario computers (before 2002), press the F10 key at the logo screen.

(iv) After the Setup Utility screen opens, press F9 key to select and load the BIOS Setup Defaults .

(v) Press F10 to Save and Exit .

(vi) Using the arrow keys select Yes and then press Enter when asked Exit Saving Changes?.

Bios default password

The BIOS default password is just blank, and it is not asked.

When you set a bios password, you are asked to enter a value, therefore if bios is asking the password, the password had been changed.

To reset the bios password if you do not know the password you need to access to motherboard and temporarily remove battery for few seconds.
Removing battery will reset bios and delete the password.
Unplug power cord before accessing the motherboard, and try not touching the motherboard with your finger.
Put battery back in place before restarting computer.
