Question about Creative Labs Zen Digital Media Player
Hi, I have just tried to turn my Creative Zen 16gb mp3 player off after adding a few tracks and instead of the player turning off I have been left with a white screen. I have tried to reset it but the player is not responding. Any ideas would be appreciated.

I had the same problem. Icontacted creative labs and they told me to reset it using the reset button. (small hole you need to use an electronic pencil to get to it) and then it worked.

1. Fully charge the unit
2. Get a song to play
3. Lock the device
4. Wait for black screen and leave it like that for 20 seconds
5. Hold the play/pause button down and move the side switch out of lock mode, then push all the way down (like you're turning it off) and release (back to middle position)
6. Release the play/pause button

SEEMINGLY RANDOM PROBLEM
I've seen a million reasons why people think their Creative Zens are going to the white screen of death. I've tried a million different things myself in trying to 'solve' the problem. The only quick-fix that has worked consistently was freezing the Zen (in a plastic bag, of course). After freezing it, it always boots fully the first time I turn it on, but your guess is as good as mine as to how many times it will work before having to freeze it again.
PUT THE SQUEEZE ON - CAREFULLY!
To me, the problem has always seemed like it had to do with a lack of connection or contact inside the thing. So, my next theory has proved - so far - to work even better than freezing. However, it's a bit of a risk to the LCD screen. I noticed the casing seemed a bit "loose", so I squeeze it (be careful not to break the LCD!!!!) as I turned it on. The first time I did this was last night. The Zen has properly booted every time I've turned it on since then. I've left it for hours and turned it on occasionally when I've thought of it...and presto!
I ASKED AN EXPERT!
My brother is an electronics expert. I described the problem to him and asked his opinion. Without going into detail (that I can't remember anyway), he concluded that there are contacts in the casing for the LCD that just aren't quite making the contact.
I fail to understand why Creative refuses to do anything about this problem when it seems that it would be a simple fix. I understand that they have more lucrative business to attend to, but selling a bum product and not even acknowledging the problem - much less fixing it - just isn't right.

idk how to put movies on but put your videos onto your computer then download them onto windows media player in your library and then go to sync and drag them to download and them click start sync
