I would stay away from any car no matter the manufacturer with this many miles on it, it may run great but many other parts like the front end and steering are at the end of there life span, trust me on this. If i was to choose a car to buy with high miles like this I would buy a Honda or Toyota. This car is EXTRMELY EXPENSIVE TO HAVE REPAIRED!

SOURCE: Oil questions for 2003 Audi A6 Quattro

oil type is either 5W-30W or 10W-30W depending how cold your climate is, as far as having the car properly taken care of, the Audi dealer is the best option, they have all the proper tools and service info needed to keep the car in top running condition.

SOURCE: Timing belt replacement for a 1999 Audi A4(elective)

Well, the labor on this specific Audi will be 5.5 hrs+ parts. the labor depends on the shop. every shop is different. lets say you brought it to my shop.my labor charge is 50 dollars an hour so, that will be a $275.00 labor charge added to the part cost which would be $220.44 for the timing belt and tensioner combined. this brings you to a total of $495.44 for the total repair. Keep in mind, this figure was calculated on the basis of a 50 dollar an hour labor charge. it can flucuate ethier way, depending on what shop you take this vihical to. I must say that, its better to replace it before it breaks and, it is a good rule of thumb to replace the water pump as well at the same time as this repair.

Please rate and have a great day:)

1995 Explorer fuel pump died. They want $827 to replace it.

You are right- it is probably not worth keeping. By the time the fuel pump goes- it will not be long befor everything else goes- I have a 95 with about 200,000 miles and could have bought a new car with all the money I spent on repairs....

2004 Audi A4 3.0 - Oil pressure Problem

well do you have documentation that you changed the oil every 4 thousand miles or less? If you do the the dealer should cover the expenses. If you did not do the oil changes as required or do not have the proof then the dealer is being more than fair as the failure would be because of your lack of maintenance.

Hey stacie young, In my honest opinion, if you take that good of your car it will be worth it in the long run. Much like the audi's manual transmission problems of the early 2000 models, if you take car of your car it will take care of you.
