I'm not real experienced with this model vac, but I do know that many of the newer vac's are being manufactured with a small button or lever, whatever the particular brand of vac decides would best fit on their unit, that would be located somewhere around the edge of the bag door opening and would need to be depressed by having a bag inside in order for the machine to run. I would check for something of this nature to be sure that during the bag change that you didn't just miss putting it in quite right to depress the go button. Other than that, it's entirely possible that the switch died. If that's the case you'll need to bring it in to a vac repair shop for help.
The dust bag holder is an important part of this vacuum. Make sure the
bag is installed into the holder sliding bag collar into slots to
secure.
Make sure the bag is tucked into cleaner. or the bag cover will not
latch securely.
Also, the motor and exhaust filters should be cleaned at each bag
replacement.
REPLACING THE FILTERS
Filters should be cleaned or replaced when they become visibly soiled or
suction power is reduced. Always operate the cleaner with the filters
installed to avoid motor damage. The dust bag must be changed and the
filters cleaned or replaced if the window of the Clean Filter Indicator
changes into red when the cleaner is operating at maximum power and the
nozzle is raised from the floor.

Well, for this unit you will need any of the following bags,
Eureka genuine Part# 90610 Eureka replacement (Central vac bag) another genuine bag style called CV-1, and/or CV-2 Kenmore Central vac bags
Most of the bags there are available at your local vacuum shop, and sometimes even Sears. The Kenmore central vac bag is, can and will fit your Eureka Mega Boss. Prices range on these bags anywhere from $12-$20 for packages of 3. Generally you will replace a bag once every 3-4 months.
well if you must clean it,,(not a good idear to do so) you could throw it in the washer by its self! but its far better to put a new cloth bag into the vaccum cleaner,, a washed cloth bag wont work half as well as a new bag will,,all you will get is even more dust out of it,,,thats twice the cleaning,, buy a new bag and save the time and work
What kind of model is it?
If you have the bag door open just to feel if there is suction it won't work. The machine would have to have its door put back on before suction can be ascertained. In the meantime check the hose that leads into the bag, or main dust channel - it may well be clogged as well as motor filters usually located under the paper bag.
I no more use Eureka 4331 (Boss Lite). But the most common reason for not picking up dirt might be the vacuum bag might be full. Need to be Clean or replace as recommended by the manufacturer or The air filter traps particles as the air travels through the vacuum cleaner. If the filter is clogged, the vacuum cleaner will not have proper suction. If your vacuum filter is clogged, refer to your owner's manual for cleaning instructions. I recommend having Eureka Power Speed for yourself.
