Distortion on speakers from CDX-M630

I only have two speakers wired up, but they both sound distorted! I have tested the speakers else where and they are fine, I 've even connected them directly at the back of the head unit, but still distorted. Has something happened in the head unit, or have I pressed a button or setting somewhere by accident. I don't have a manual as it came with the car, but was working ok???

sounds like an internal connection problem. open access panel and check the solder connection is not broken or loose. Be sure the metal mesh jacket is not touching the lead wire as that would cause a scratchy noise and feedback, or maybe near the internal cable causing feedback

Can a power conditioner improve distortion sound on center channel speaker? I have a Pioneer vsx 1020K receiver and I am only having a problem with the center channel. At first I thought the problem was...

First; power conditioner won't do anything for your issue. It's not crosstalk (unless it's a wireless spkr) On your sub are cables mark + & - ? If so make sure they're attached accordingly to back of receiver/amp. Your distortion sounds like a phase issue. I'm also curious how store performed diagnostics?

Distortion with HK AVR 144

This sounds like the amplifer is playing up. If the distortion is on more than one channel, you are looking at a faulty part common to both channels. If on one channel only, perhaps something in the pre-amp or power amp sections. Have a look inside, you might find a burnt resistor, which would cause it.

Sony cdex-m630 connections with an amp

You can use either set of RCA outputs for the amplifier that you want to. Only difference in either of them is front, rear and sub outputs. If you are only powering a sub amp, then use the sub outputs, otherwise, the other two will work fine. You can still use the outputs from the radio itself to power four other speakers while using the RCA outputs.

Sound Distortion

somekind of hardware side failure or bad drivers.
I hear sounds from my audio output if i connect my headphones there directly but when I connect it to my speaker system they filter the distortion.
