IE error code on LG front loader wm3677hw

I just got used. This is a piece of junk, agree? I have been reading posts from customers who have had this problem, sensor defect or water pump defect and get it replaced over and over again. Problem is water doesnt enter drum. Sometimes the washer works most times it doesnt.

I don't think that is the case. Everything has been checked and there isn't any clogs. The hoses are new as of yesterday from Home Depot. If the water valves were the problem, then why would both the hot and the cold valves not work? Also the problem is intermittent. It will work sometimes (so there isn't a valve or clog problem) and then not work other times. I think its electronic because it works for a load, then the next load may have this problem - won't get any water entering the drum, and then I have to unplug and leave it unplugged for hours and then it will work for the next load. Then the whole scenario reruns.

No, I most certainly do not agree. IE is the code for water Inlet Error. The most common reason for that code is the screen(s) inside the water valve (right where the hoses connect onto the machine) are plugged up. You can remove them and clean them out. If they are clean, check that the hoses themselves do not have screened hose washers in either end which may be blocked. If that is all good, you may have a bad water inlet valve, which is easy to replace. Let me know if you think that is the case, and I'll be glad to give you part number(s) and advice on dissassembly and repair.

The first link is about an LE code. (not an IE code) and that poster does not know that there is indeed a way to test the sensor they were having trouble with.

One other thing which could cause your problem is a plugged )or restricted) water level tube. The long thin black tube which runs from the bottom back of the machine, just below the tub, to the water level switch near the top of the machine. The tube can accumulate gunk (usually from using too much and / or the wrong kind of soap or fabric softener), and the washer then can not determine the actual amount of water in the machine.

If you push and hold the spin speed and soil level buttons at the same time you will see a three digit number displayed. If it is below 246 the tube may be your problem, or possibly the level switch, but that is much less likely. By the way, you can check that any time during the cycle, and the number should change as the water level in the machine changes.

Lg tromm front loader washing machine display panel reading l-E.

error code 'IE' means water does not enter the detergent drawer..if your water is hard or contains traces of lime deposits, the water inlet filter may become clogged..regular cleaning is suggested..clean the filter using hard bristle brush..

note: hard water is the one not undergone any other words it is directly from the ground through your water pump and to the washer.

LG WM-2032HW front loader washer gives error goes OE and IE

"OE" is really "DE"= drain error. Clean out filter behind access door on lower left corner front panel of machine. (there will be some water in machine)
"IE" = inlet error. machine took too long to fill. clean out inlet water screens where the hoses connect onto machine.
