Question about Canon PIXMA iP4300 InkJet Photo Printer

PRINTER WONT DO ANYTHING

MY PRINTER WILL NOT PRINT AND THE MAINTENANCE LIGHT IS FLASHING 5 TIMES THEN STOPS THEN AGAIN AND SO ON

hi - i have the same problem. 5 amber flashes. ip4300 won't print and pop-up message says it's "operator error"

Early symptoms: warning that ink cartridges were low, so i printed in B&W. Printer sat for about a month with no printing - and then the "operator error" messages started. Looking at the ink cartridges the yellow, cyan and magenta were all blinking. The warning light was flashing 5 times - indicating a damaged print head.

I purchased all new ink, and then did all the suggested solutions: cleaned the print head, but neither the resume button, nor the paper feed buttons work. Could not clean print head, could not deep clean print head using the printer.

I don't think it's the printer head - it hasn't even printed a ****'s worth of paper - but it's beyone warantee period. Anyone know any tricks to help me print again?

    Many thanks -Mary

Take the printhead out and run it under hot water.

Don't worry about getting the copper colored metal wet.

Set it to dry and reinstall into printer.

This has worked for me and others in the past.

Seeing as this error calls for a new printhead you have nothing to lose.

C45 how to clean nozzels

You can print the print head using the Control Panel buttons;
1. Make sure that the fontp.gif power light is on and that the font28.gif error light is off. 2. Hold down the font28.gif maintenance button for three seconds. The printer starts cleaning the print head and the fontp.gif power light begins flashing. Important - Never turn off the printer while the fontp.gif power light is flashing. Doing so may damage the printer. 3. When the fontp.gif power light stops flashing, print a nozzle check pattern to confirm that the head is clean.

I need to clear the inkjet heads on my Epson Stylus R220.

Follow the steps below to clean the print head using the Head Cleaning utility.
Make sure that the printer is turned on and the ink out light is off. Access the printer software. Click the Maintenance tab, then click the Head Cleaning button. Follow the on-screen instructions. The power light flashes while the printer performs the cleaning cycle. Never turn off the printer while the power light is flashing. Doing so may damage the printer. When the power light stops flashing, load a few sheets of paper and click Print Nozzle Check Pattern in the Head Cleaning dialog box to confirm that the print head is clean.

BJC55 Printer not printing

There are some possibilities due to the above phenomena. Let's discuss about it:
1) If the POWER light is flashing green, then your printer is now warming up or performing maintenance procedure (replacing cartridge/tank) or cleaning print head, just wait a few seconds till the light stop flash. Also if the last page of a print job not done, this POWER light flashing green.
2) If the CHARGE/ERROR light is flashing orange with beep 3 times, it mean your cartridge need to be install (especially the 1st time turn on printer) or cartridge being replaced, just install the cartridge and press RESUME to continue.
3) If both POWER light is flashing green and CHARGE/ERROR light is flashing orange with beep 3 times, then your printer may facing a very serious error and maybe need a replacement.

Hope these help.
