It is just probably stuck on the wood.

Just give it a good tug, and that should free it.

Leveling kenmore elite front loader

  • Place the level on the top of the washing machineicon1.png to see if it is level. Make sure you test it side to side and front to back.

Pull the washing machine away from any walls if you have to make an adjustment to the legs.

  • Lift the washericon1.png and place the wood block underneath the washer. Place the block near the leg that needs to be adjusted, but don't let it obstruct the leg.

  • Loosen the nut that secures the legicon1.png with the wrench.

  • Raise the height of the leg by twisting it to the left, or lower the height by twisting it to the right.

  • Remove the block of wood from under the washer and recheck the machine with the level.

  • Raise or lower the leg if additional adjustments are needed.

  • Tighten the nut on the leg with the wrench when the machine is level.

  • Repeat the process for each leg that needs to be adjusted.

  • Move the washer back into position and check with the level again to make sure the washer remains stable to finish leveling the machine.

My Aqualtis AQGMD149 has the fault that it is blocked. I cannot remove the cover to clean the pump out. The manual says unscrew it anti-clockwise but it only goes a quarter of a turn and won't budge. ...

Try pulling the filter after you have unscrewed it. Often there is a large rubber sealing ring on the perimeter of the filter drawer so it has to be pulled quite hard to remove it.

It's making a very loud banging noise in spin cycle

There can be any number of reasons for the tub slipping / jerking.

First, see the Sears parts site for your washer:!retrieveModelDetails.pd?modelNumber=11092584100&productCategoryId=0153200&brandId=0582&brandDescription=KENMORE&modelName=WASHER&searchedModel=110.92584110

and you'll see a list of major sub-components with diagrams and parts.

It's possible that the drive block and / or tabs holding the tub to the block are worn / damaged.

Also see the Whirlpool / Kenmore Service Manuals for these washers:

I'd essentially pull the washer apart to check that everything is in place.

See the following for a detailed description of how to do it.

You don't have to buy a special spanner wrench ($20) to remove the spanner nut. I've used a short 10" pipe wrench (about $9.00 also good for cracking walnuts) hooked over one of the tabs on the spanner nut, tap the handle with a hammer and it should loosen.

Also, don't directly hit the drive block with a hammer. Use a short piece of wood under the drive block and tap up on the wood.

The problem does point to the drive block and/or the nut holding the tub to the block. The block is soft metal and easily damaged if the nut isn't tight. Also check the tabs on the tub to make sure that they fit into the notches in the block.

    GE washer model WJRE555OH1WW - agitator free-wheels.

First make sure the inner part of the agitator is not brocken.

Remove the soap cap from the top of the agitator and with a torch, look down into the shaft. There is normally a nut which secures the agitator to the gearbox shaft. If the plastic around the nut is broken then the agitator moves freely.

There may not be a problem with your gear box, then and relatively cheap to replace agitator.

Terrible scraping noise from drum, what is it?

more likely there is a bra wire caught between the inner drum and outer tub, possibly wrapping itself around the element in the bottom.
