Question about Samsung ML 1210 Laser Printer

Very Noisy Warmup cycle with my ML1210

The printer works perfectly, except lately it has started to get noiser and noiser during the initial warmup cycle. After a full night, in early morning, when the printer is cold. The warmup cycle sounds like gears are grinding, clattering. Finally it warms up, shuts down and then prints perfectly. Could there be something loose in the gear or drive system that only is a problem during this warmup cycle? Is there some way I can adjust or tighten something to repair this? Thank you, Fred G.

Error 546 is a warmup error, when the fuser does not reach fusing temperature within the warmup timer period.

You could attempt to remove the fuser yourself, and clear carbon buildup, or you may have to completely replace the fusing unit.

You can clear the error by going into service mode, and selecting reset.

Malware functions eror cod c3451

C3451 is a Warm Up Failure. The fusing unit uses heat a pressure to "fix" the toner onto the paper. This code means that this unit is not heating up properly. You will need a service person to diagnose which part has failed and effect repairs to resolve this code.
Here is the info from the service manual:
The Fusing Roller Thermistor does not detect
the required temperature within 30 sec. after a
warmup cycle has begun; therefore, the copier
does not complete the warm-up cycle.
• The temperature of the Fusing Rollers does not
reach the required level even after the set period
of time has elapsed during a warm-up cycle.
