Re: radio reset

The yellow wire is probably connected to a power wire that switches off with the car. It needs to be moved to a constant power wire, as it is the wire that keeps the memory powered even while the car is off.

Radio stations keep resetting.

There are 2 battery feeds to the radio.

The Main one via the Ignition Switch . This is used to switch the radio ON

The other is a permanently connected battery feed that retains the radio memory code and the radio station settings.

It looks as though it is this permanent battery feed that is missing.

Check the fuses and the connectors/wiring at the rear of the radio

How do I cancel the demo on my radio so it never comes back on?

Go into settings and turn demo mode off. If it resets to demo mode every time you turn the car on then you'll have to get it looked at, it's either the radio or your car battery.

When the ignition is turned off and turned on again the clock keeps reseting to 00.00

Sounds like you don't have the 12v constant hooked up. There is two 12v sources, one is ignition, and the other is constant. All it's for is keeping the settings. The ignition wire from radio is for turning radio on when car is on or in acc setting. Pull radio make sure everything is wired properly. U can't wiring information on the web using radio brand and model number.

i don't know what kind of car that you have but on that radio there should be two power wires one is red and the other is yellow, the red wire connects to the wire in the car that will only have power when the key is turned to the on position, the yellow wire connects to the wire in the car that always has power with the key off.........

My preset radio cant hold long ...

This is normally a problem that happens when the yellow wire on the harness is connected to the wrong voltage source. The yellow wire must be connected to a source that is always supplying 12 volts even with the car turned off. That is the way they keep all memory after the radio has been turned off and the car turned off. Check that the yellow wire has the voltage it needs when the car is off, if it does have that voltage, I can help you further, but this is the most common reason for your problem.

Car CD stereo

Either you blew the memory fuse or didn't connect the radio to the proper wire. Check fuses inside and under the hood.

The memory wire to the radio needs 12v all the time. If it's not connected or no power at the lead the radio will reset every time you turn off the car.
