Typing the same letters

I have a Brother AX-10. I have the ink and the wheel with the letters. I plug the typewriter and when I type it's always the same letter, because the brown wheel with letters isn't rotating.
(Don't know the correct names for the material. Sorry.)Any solutions? Thanks.

Probably it's a problem with the printwheel. So how exactly do I install it correctly? And do I reset the typewriter?

Solved the problem! I bought a new daisy wheel and it's working just fine but when I tried to replace the ribbon cartridge couldn't do it. How do I do I replace the ribbon?

Check to see if anything is interfering with the free rotation of the printwheel, ribbon or corr. tape if improperly installed may do this. with the mach. OFF move the printwheel by hand. if it moves ok, and it still won't print wright, you will need a repair shop to fix this problem.

Brother AX 24 Daisy Pinwheel. Lock it in start typing goes okay for a while and then starts typing letters different than what is typed. Any clue as to what to try to correct problem?

Remove the printwheel, rotate it manually look for bent or broken spokes, if they are allright try using the T/W without a correction tape. If this works you may have a tacky L/O which catches the P/W.

Try hitting [CODE] + [RESET] at the same time to reset the cartridge. Make sure the cassette is installed correctly.. the "ear" on the cassette should always be on the upper right.

Not typing any letters

the printhammer/wheel may not be latched into place. there is a black lever on the right side of the printhammer. you pull it towards you to remove the printwheel and forward to latch it into place. otherwise the machine will probably need repair, or just go to a thrift shop and you can pick one up for $10 to $25 dollars. just plug it in and try before you buy.

Typewriter ax-10 by brother

Turn off machine. Unplug machine for at least 1 minute. Plug back in and turn machine back on. If it still doesn't work, check to see what typing mode it is in, and change it if necessary.
