Question about Singer Inspiration 4210 Mechanical Sewing Machine

Will not sew, threads are correct, won't pick up bobbin thread

I have reviewed manual to make sure threaded correctly and was sewing fine before, now will not sew, will not pick up bobbin thread to create stitch.

I'm having this same issue. Someone on another forum suggested running the foot pedal for just a second, then trying to lift the thread again, and that worked like a charm. BUT, even though my bobbin thread is raised, the threads still won't connect to create a stitch.

SOURCE: Upper thread wraps around bobbin mechanism, while sewing

IT PROBABLY IS THREADED INCORRECTLY. GO SLOWLY BY THE DIAPHRAGM AND MAKE SURE IT IS THREADED CORRECTLY. ALSO MAKE SURE SPOOL PIN HOLDERS ARE IN PLACE THAT HELPS TO GUIDE THE THREAD CORRECTLY.

SOURCE: Thread is not coming up

YOUR PROBLEM IS THE TIMMING IN YOUR MACHINE. THIS HAPPENDS WHEN YOU FORCE YOUR MACHINE TO SEW SOMETHING OR WHEN YOUR NEEDLE BRAKES. nOT SURE HOW TO FIX IT. I HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM. USUALLY A TUNE-UP WOULD DO IT. IT'S ABOUT $99 TO $130.00 TO DO A TUNE UP. i WISH I KNEW HOW TO FIX IT MYSELF.

SOURCE: Top thread won't pick up the bobbin thread

re insert the needle, maybe you did not put the needle up as far as it is to go. Make sure the flat side of the needle is to the back of the machine. Without any thread in the machine hand turn the wheel and look to see if the hook of your bobbin would/could catch the thread (to see if timing is right)
then thread the machine and hand turn the wheel and see what it is doing.
Your timing might be off, but I do not think that is likely. Though it is possible that when the needle fell out, it hit something hard, broke, and pushed the machine out of timing. then you need to bring it in.

SOURCE: needle will not sew thread into material

Sounds like the timing is off. Take the bobbin out of the bobbin case and lower the needle into the needle plate. As the needle starts on the upswing, the hook should meet the needle just above the needle eye on most machines. If it isn't meeting at that point then your hook timing will need to be adjusted.

SOURCE: Bobbin thread will not stitch.

Have you had the machine serviced since you purchased it? This is something that should be done at least once a year.

Take the machine to a certified Singer dealer and explain what is happening. There may or may not be something that needs to be adjusted.

Your warranty is still in effect, but is now limited. Attempting to repair it yourself or having someone who is not a Singer dealer repair it will invalidate the remaining warranty.

Try installing a brand new needle (verify it is installed correctly). If it still does not pick up the bobbin thread, the needle/hook may be out of time, requiring service.

Machine saying to rethread the upper thread but not picking up bottom thread from bobbin. Constantly rethreaded upper thread still won't sew.

Consult the owner's manual to make sure it is threaded correctly. Install a brand new needle making sure it is installed properly. Also, be sure to RAISE the presser foot BEFORE threading the upper thread.

If it is still not picking up the bobbin thread, the machine may be out of time.

I need a repair manual or need to know why when i try to sew it wont pick up the bobbin thread

The easiest thing to try is replace the needle with a brand-new needle. If the needle is bent or damaged, it may not be engaging with the bobbin thread correctly. Also make sure it is installed with the flat side facing the correct direction. Be sure to Raise the presser foot before threading the upper thread so it will seat properly in the tension disks.

I have a new Singer 5532

Put in a new needle. Unthread the machine then rethread it being sure it is threaded correctly--especially through the tension control. Remove the bobbin and make sure it is wound correctly. Replace the bobbin and being certain that it is in the correct position. Check the manual if you are unsure how your machine is threaded or how to replace the needle.

Brother 1100 threading the bobbin

try changing the needle
rethread the machine top and bobbin
make sure to use every thread guide
make sure the top thread has not come off the thread take up
lever--this can cause the sewing machine to jam
if it's a top loading bobbin--take the bobbin out of the bobbin case
and turn it around and reinsert the bobbin
if it's a side or front loading bobbin take the bobbin and bobbin
case out and make sure the bobbin is inserted correctly into the
bobbin case and that the bobbin case is inserted correctly into the
