hi, its possible the mother board is not working properly, or the cpu is bad.

if the monitor light is blinking this suggests that, there is no display signal coming from the tower. This could be because of the following .

1. Bad video card 2. Bad video software

To check,where the problem is , power of the system tower and remove the power cord from the back of the tower. Press and hold the power buttoon for 10 seconds and the reconnect the power cord and turn the tower on. Check if there is any display or the status of the light changes from amber to green for even a small instance.

If the light changes to green and back to amber the video port on the tower is bad

Alternatively you can connect the monitor to another desktop or laptop to check if the same is working correctly.

The most likely cause is a failing power supply. Unless you have a tester you will need to buy a replacement. Check the specs and order a suitable replacement. (www.newegg.com is my choice)

If any of this goes past your computer knowledge take your computer to an expert to examine first-hand.

Look on the back of the tower, up top on the power supply and there may be a reset button or a red switch. Switch it off for a few seconds and them back on. That might work.

Possible bad power supply.You can try cleaning the tower out with a vacum,remove all dust or dirt from all fans.

Make sure monitor is plugged in and on correct. Try a different monitor otherwise to see if that is the problem

Are there any beeps?
Could be the power supply going, motherboard, memory or CPU.
Check that all of the cards are seated correctly and tight.

on the computer you will see 4 leds labled A B C D. make sure all are Green. if not there is some issue withe the system.

I would fathom a guess that the motherboard has been damaged, if it is the PS then you can see by taking it into a service center to have the output checked 3 v 5 v 12 volt good luck.

you can try this solution
unplug all cables , powerflee the system by pressing the start button for 30 sec , release it then replugg all the cables and check wheather it is working or not , secondly check wheather the powers supply fan on the back of tower is working or not, still it doesnt work turn off the tower and unplugg the tower and then openthe tower , check all cables and reset the RAM on the mother board ...you can try this basic troubleshooting , it will help u... waiting for response
