If the camera will not allow the manual rewind function to work then the camera needs to come apart to get the film out. To do this and save the film it will have to be disassembled in an IR box (a special light tight box fitted with an Infrared camera so a tech can disassemble the camera without exposing the film. Many camera repair shops have the ability to do this.

My fujifilm instax 8 won't take a picture (blue)

I had the same problem as you. When the film goes blank you noticed that the back is brown, not black? Well that is because you are not bursting the bubble of ink that comes in the bottom of the film.
What I had to do was open my camera and fix a small detail. It turns out that the control lever light intensity has a spring that can be moved from its original location. We must accommodate that spring to get everything back to normal. I have some videos of how I did. I hope to edit them soon so you can see how you did.

The LCD panel flashes an H when i turn it on

If a fault is detected, then the letter H appears on the LCD screen on top of the camera. The user manual for the ELPH 370Z says on the page that in such circumstances the user must remove the battery from the camera and wait for the H to disappear before replacing the battery. If this does not solve the problem, then the camera is actually junk. It is an APS film camera obsolete and spare parts are no longer available

Blinking red light

Is the battery door maybe not closing tightly, causing the metal area that touches the tips of the batteries to not be in close enough contact with them? This happened with my camera due to a cracked battery door, and until I can afford to replace it, I've put a rubberband around my camera over the little door to hold the batteries in tightly! Surprisingly, this is working for me! I know it's not an optimal fix, but thought I'd offer the suggestion. (You didn't say what make/model your camera is.)

CX7300 Digital camera won't turn on. New batteries get hot after being put in the camera after a few minutes.

No. This camera requires service/repairs, the repairs will be more than this model camera is worth !!!!

Lock positon; film icon and #of exposures still appears, ist that normal?

Perfectly normal. The beauty of LCD displays is that, as long as nothing is actually changing, no power (or very minimal) is being consumed. Think of it this way: dump a pile of sugar on a table. Draw a number. It took energy to make the number, but it doesn't take any power to keep it there. Don't forget to clean up the sugar, it'll attracts ants.

Camera Ready and Flash

I'f your using alkaline AAs, try using rechargeable NiMH batteries or lithium disposables. Alkalines are very poor at supplying the kind of current needed to recharge the flash. I've found other Samsung cameras to be particularly fussy about batteries, and not always consistently so! Good luck.

D40 compatability with Sunpak auto 144D flash

the voltage on the flash hot shoe contacts (center pin and rail connector) can be as high as 140V DC and this voltage is backfed into the camera through its hotshoe connector. There are adapters that can be bought that isolate this voltage that go between the flash and the camera, but different camera makers have different ratings for the flash voltage. My Vivitar 220 has 122 volts across the contacts from 4 AA batteries! Canon recommends nothing over 6v but Fuji says 60v and others dont say anything. SLR's used a mechanical trigger, modern digi cams use an electronic trigger. Also Digcams use electronic metering for exposure so they dont take into consideration the addition of another flash unless they do a preflash, TTL metering and the flash unit is capable of recharging in about 1/10th second. YOu may have to do some post processing or set the camera on manual to adjust the exposure.

How do I change the battery in a Polaroid Sun600 lms?

The battery is contained within the film pack. The battery in the film was designed to ensure that fresh batteries were in place each time a new film was inserted. This is the battery that operated the flash, and the film eject motor. Polaroid has wound down production of the 600 type film, and there is no replacement forthcoming.

Red light continually flashes, and won't take picture

Set the camera to anything except no flash. Turn it off. Take out the battery. Wait 5-10 seconds. Put the battery back in. The flash should now work until you turn the camera off again (and then you must remove/replace the battery to get the flash working again).

The flash requires some kind of "master reset" to work. Haven't found a permanent solution to this.
