Samsung HDTV stopped turning on and made a click sound

My tv stopped turning on only sometimes at first and i would get a click sound after a few seconds of trying to power up my Samsung HLN5065W, i researched it and saw it was the ballast about 90% sure, so i ordered a new one and changed it, didn't work that night, but the following morning it powered up, i waited turned it off waited turned it on and it worked again, and a couple more times throughout the morning, i was convinced it was solved went to work and came back and bam its not working again, i am stumped at the moment, the only thing i can think of is it maybe the power supply?>

well im pretty sure the colorwheel is fine, the lamp is about a month old, i still think its the power supply, my tv works every once in a while, ill unplug it for about 20 mins, and then plug it back in, wait 20 more minutes and turn it on and bam sometimes it works, but sometimes it doesn't, but it has only been working like that since i've replaced the ballast, before it wasn't even doing that anymore. do you know of a good place to get a power supply? and is it something i can change myself??

Well im pretty sure its not the colorwheel and no other led lights light up on the front panel. And the lamp is farley new hasn't had much use at all. ever since i replaced the ballast now my tv works about half the time, ill unplug my tv for about 20 minutes then plug it back in, wait an additional 20 minutes and then bam it turns on; which with the old ballast it wasn't even doing that much. Im pretty certain its the power supply, do u know of any places to purchase one for my HLN5065W and is it farley easy to install or do i needa have someone come do it??

If it just clicks and thats it, yeah power supply. see if the fans run and it does the boot up sequence. let it try to come up again and again. it will spit out an error code. If all three LEDs on the front panel flash, it is on the engine side. Try to power up without the lamp and hold down the lamp door switch. You can see if the colorwheel is spinning or not through where the lamp shines.. you can also hear it .. its the high pitched squeel noise you hear whir up. If the colorwheel spins, then the ballast should strike up the lamp. If you hear a 1 second buzz sound, that is usually a bad lamp. The spark gap on the ballast fires if it cannot fire the lamp.. you might be able to see it glow. The lamp can be bad but not necessarily blown. If it looks good, try tightening the connections inside the assembly, the two wires (be careful fragile, glass, mercury, etc.)

There is a problem with the power supply in your TV. The regulator switch is causing teh clicking sound you hear. In order to fix it, you will need to replace the power supply. This is done by taking off the back cover of the TV, locating the power supply which is usually a yellow board that will have many high voltage capicators on it and replacing it with a new one.

TV turns off by itself

Thus the line connected to a surge protector or some kind of line protector. This can be consider.

Or if this is a crt type tv. This could be a fault on high voltage section. Horizontal output transistor or flyback. But check also for loose connection/solder crack. That clicking sound may be the relay in action.

hope i give some correct input.

LG 47" LCD TV - 47LC7DF Clicking Noise

I was told that these clicking noises (which happen on my Magnavox LCD too) were due to the "power required" at the internal switch. Seems that the power required to immediately turn on the TV is too much for a standalone household outlet, so it "surges" power in a series to get enough there. Hence, the clicking sounds are actually mini power surges to send more power to the internal circuits to turn the TV on.

If your set is like mine, these noises generally stop after a minute or two, correct?
