It sounds like that code you are entering is out of date, all you need to do is contact sony via the ps3 site and let them know whats going on, basically the problem is the code has to be used within a certain amount of time, but dont worry to much as long as the code has never been registered then they will just issue you with another code to use or they will even add the funds for you, so go to the ps3 site for your country and scroll down to find their contact details and send them an email and they will let you know how to add the funds
