How come when i try to redeem my 50$ ps3 code its say do you want to add this to funds,and i say ok then it says error something

Click the options tab to switch accounts to the account that has the funds required, and link the account you're wanting to fund to the account you'd like to be funded using the settings tab after linking accounts.

This is an issue with the Playstation network and not your PS3. The network had been down, then back up, then back down. Once Sony brings it back up, You should be good to go.
On a sidenote, You can always reset your ps3 by holding down the power button and waiting until it beeps a couple of times. Or buy yourself an xbox 360 and be free from all of this :)

To enter the codes you can either go to the store and at the top right it says redeem codes or under your account management check the menus where it says redeem codes.

1. Turn on DSI
2. On the DSI main menu go to Nintendo DSI shop
3. Wait for it to connect to the shop
4. Click on "start shopping"
5. Select "Add Nintendo DSI points"
6. Select "Redeem Nintendo Points Card"
7. Enter the code on back of Points Card
8. Redeem
9. Go shopping.
