Dear Sir/Madam,
Although these effects are temporary but they can cause screen burn-in problems later. The Toshiba 42HP66 comes with default picture settings, which is basically the Sports mode. The sports mode reproduces vivid mode effects. If you switch the picture mode to standard then it will decrease the contrast and brightness. According to a C-NET test, it has been found that the 42HP66 does not reproduce the same black level quality like some of the first-tier plasma televisions. Another drawback is the inconsistency in the color especially in light and dark scenes. There is also a considerable video noise in the picture.
The Toshiba 42HP66 has been enhanced with a colorimeter to ensure the delivery of best picture quality. It also has a Sencore High-Definition signal generator, as well as a specialized software suite that can calibrate the television to the Imaging Science Foundation (ISF) standard color temperature of D6500K. Overall, the 42HP66 ives quite a performance...
Thanks
Good Luck
Toshiba's CrystalScan HDSC technology upconverts all video signals (including 480i/p) to 1080iHD, resulting in a significant reduction in jagged line artifacts to create the sharpest, most realistic picture possible from every source.
Unplug the wires for sometime then replug it again and then check out.also readjust the menu settings again afterr you turn it on.
Try swapping the 2 hadmi inputs, this is probably a compatibility issue with one of the two devices connected through HDMI.
Try to understand if the problem is caused by a bad HDMI cable, or if it is the receiver.
Both the HDMI cable and the TV receiver box are relatively not very expensive to replace, unless you are using an expensive sat box.
Find out what is causing the problem, and replace it.
If the problem is on your TV, and you get this with any device Connected to HDMI 1, then the signal board on the TV must be replaced, in this case call the phone number listed on the user manual.
If this TV has RCA or Composite input you can also try connecting DVD on RCA or Composite , and having the receiver on HDMI 2.
