Question about Krups FEM2B Toast Expert 2-Slice Toaster
My Krups FEM 2 toaster will not turn on the outside heating elements. The inside works fine. Also the Stop button does'nt work either.
SOURCE: Krupa fep2 toaster...
Make sure the socket you are plugging into is working by plugging in another appliance or radio etc. Check the fuse in the plug if it has one, this is the most likely problem, if it is ok you will need to do continuity checks from the plug through to the insides of the toaster to check if it is the switch or thermal fuse inside the toaster.
I hope I have been of help but please do not hesitate to ask if you have any further questions.

this is all to common . what thought happend did happen . the control board went bad and the elements where stuck on . inside there is a thermal fuse ,it blew out and saved you from haveing a fire but now the oven is dead . if you replaced the fuse it would just do it again and the board cannot be bought so your out of luck . on your next oven stay away from electronic controls . i am shocked you got 3 years out if it ,most go bad mutch sooner

you can touch the element but be carefull the glass is thin .... so scrape it and do what you can . THEN USE A COTTON BALL AND ALCOHOL and clean the element that will get rid of the oil you left behind ,you will be fine ......Please if this answer helped , please rate this 3 or 4 stars . and keep me in the paid answer department . A 1 or 2 may knock me down into the unpaid ranks. Thanks Cactus Bob

you have a relay failure . its real common on all digital ovens in general after looking up yours , there are no inside parts made for this oven . this is another problem with all "made in china " appliances THERES JUST NO PARTS! anywhere ! see what your warranty will do , if thats no good, some krups appliances can be sent back for "repair " its not realy repaired just replaced at a reduced cost . i wish you luck .........Please if this answer helped , please rate this 3 or 4 stars . and keep me in the paid answer department . It sounds like the temperature sensor has malfunctioned. When the sensor reaches a certain temperature it opens the contact to the heating elements shutting off the toaster. If the unit is under warranty then take it to a repair facility for Krups. I would not allow anyone to use the toaster. If left on it could cause a fire. Take care, stay safe and good luck with your unit!
