Lost the instalatoin cd what do u sugest??/

What's the model and make of your pc? The last operating system, was it preinstalled or you installed it yourself?

Most companies create a hidden restore partition and you can use this to restore/format/reinstall the operating system.

Other option:
Assuming you installed windows
1. If system restore is enabled, go to:
a. Start
b. Programs
c. Accessories
d. System Tools
e. click on System Restore.
2. Once system restore is loaded, restore your system into the first day you installed the machine. This is like setting your system back to its original setup.

If all fails. Buy yourself a cd/dvd.

Hope it helps.

Unable to reinstall DVD backups after HP SYSTEM RECOVERY failed

Code "purple" means you and your computer are done. It is an unrecoverable error that means you need a new system. However, I have found a couple of postings that claim to know a fix. I can not verify these methods, I do not own a HP or other type of prefab PC (custom is the only way to go). Anyway, here are the links, good luck.

Cannot restore to factory settings because lost system administor

Your question was not quite finished...I will assume you lost your reinstall disk. No problem...go to the Start menu, All Programs, Accessories, System Tools, and System Restore. Follow the directions through thye system restore wizard. You will get to pick a day and time for your system to restore back to. If you have a XP, there should be many days to pick from...you may not even need to go too far back. If you know what you are trying to avoid( as in the reason why you are trying to restore your system...virus? software loss? etc) just go back to the day of or the day before for your restore. Just remember you will lose any of the information after that date, so be sure to make a backup of everything you need or want!

Battery went flat and laptop turned off pluged laptop charger in laptop was unable to bootup properly and then keeps rebooting and rebooting.

Try and go into safe mode and select system restore. To get into safe mode press F8 before as the computer begins to boot. When you get to safe mode press start and then select program files and select accerioes, under that heading select system tools and click on system restore. Follow instructions and select 2 days or the lastest restore point in order to restore system back to it's original state.

If you cannot reboot at all to safe mode, you will require to restore the system or reinstall windows using you xp, vista or recovery disks for laptop. Good Luck!

I accidently deleted the fingerprint program on my laptop. how do i go about reinstalling it?

hi there are 3 ways of sorting your problem out first if your on vista and runnig the the same program from when you had it new you will find a second hard drive set up for you first starting the pc up what you must do is restart the pc returning the pc to first settings when you got the pc new this will most likely put you pc back to normal.
2 if this dont help try going in to start then all programs then accessories then sys tools then sys restore enter this and restore your pc to the nearest date before you lost your program.
3 if you have the sys drivers disk put this in and try restoring your program from that .
its up to you what you try first i would try the last 2 first
make sure that you save on an external hard drive all your files that you need because there may a chance of lossing your files in some of these ways ok
hope it works out for you all the best

Computer "rebooted" or somehting and accidently lost everything

You will need to take the hard drive out of your computer and connect it to someone else's computer as a second drive so that you can pull the files off before reinstalling Windows.
