Thank you for your response, yes the problem is fixed, the computer was defaulting (only on internet printing not email etc) to an old printer that was replaced with the HP C4280. The mystery was it did not always do this and sometimes I could print from the internet on the HP.
I have now deleted the old printer and all seems to be fine.

A J Moore.

How may i print for Both Side Printing?

Hi,

Both side printing depends on the printer. It's a feature which require a hardware in the printer known as Duplexer. Which automatically turns the paper and prints on the other side. Some printer may not come with duplexer but if they support duplex printing, you can but the duplexer for the specific printer and attach it at the back of the printer.

If your printer supports duplex printing, when you click on print, click print preferences as shown in the fig 1 below.

Click on finishing tab >> put a check on Print on both sides under document optoins section

Click Ok to close the preferences window

Click Ok to send the print job to the printer

Below is the series of images showing how to connect a duplexer.

Which Internet Browser are you using? Well let me give you instructions for three browsers;

1. Internet Explorer, here I am going to set www.google.com as the home page.
Open the Internet Explorer > Tools > Internet Options, (click on the general tab if another tab is opened) type in www.google.com as shown below;

PRINTING PROBLEMS

Maybe I can help;
I'll assume you have a windows operating system.
There are two ways to print, one is hitting the print icon wherever that may be in the current program and the second is to use the longer method of going to: file/print.. which takes to you to the print setup box.
This may be where you need to set the print properties for this particular document.
The first method uses whatever your default printing setup is.. such as which printer, portrait mode,
draft or best quality....etc.

If you always use the same print setup you can set this in; start/settings/control panel/printers/
Your default printer will have a check next to it.
Hope this helps

Printer does not print. allplugs are ok

Dose the printer show up under printers and faxes? Dose it show the words ready or work off line under the printer? If the printer shows work off line, right click the printer and take the check away from work off line. It should change the wording to ready and start printing.

Check the page setup in File-Print. Do a Print Preview to see what you'll get. That's in File-Print too.

Try opening up the printer and pulling the cartridges out and putting them back in. Make EXTRA sure that they are in properly and try again.

If that doesn't work, try and see if your printer has an option to clean the print heads.
