It is probably the starter switch

Take jumper cables and connect the cables to the battery like you are going to jump start the battery,
make sure ignition switch is on take other leads and put the ground on metal frame of blower and put the positive (hot ) on the red wire going to the electric start to see if the starter turns the motor over

If it does then the starter switch is defective you can take it a part and see if the connections are lose
you can pick up a switch (buttn or toggle at radio shak

Good luck

The snowblower starts great, but then it will not shut off. have to snowblow my neighbors, waiting for it to run out of gas

Try lowering the choke all the way below Turtle Speed. With any luck this will shut the snowblower off.

I have a Craftsman 9hp 29inch blade snowblower that is basically brand new. It had sat for too long and the gas turned to varnish. I had to replace the fuel line and i rebuilt the carb and it still won't...

Hi timmmarquez, I have the same snowblower. That plug is for a light if you want to install one. Can you smell gas when you try to start it ? If you have spark you can iliminate the kill switch. Make sure you have a clean spark plug to (not a weak spark). Good Luck.

Won't start after storeage

does your motor turn over or is battery dead. think you have to pull brake lever to actuate starter. if it does turn over and doesn't start. try draining carb. and to get some fresh fuel in the carb and try again. if not you may need to clean carb.

Quantum Tour Edition 1170PT baitcasting fishing reel

Tighten the drag star to expose the black ratch ring. Press the ratchet ring down towards the star drag as you turn the handle backwards to unscrew it from the crank shaft.

Kawasaki 550sx won't start

souds as if the starter is faulty. Use a volt meter to check voltage at the starter while holding the start button. If you get a battery voltage reading, then the starter is shot.

1988 Yamaha 4 wheeler slow crank

put jumper cables from battery to starter directly
to see if it turns over faster put red on starter lead and black on gorund(metal housing)

You may want to try this from a car battery to see if it spins faster if it does it indicates a problem with power from new battery check cables and lines for power blead
