Question about Moen 3867 Four Function Hand Shower With Slide Bar
Triton shower goes from hot to cold & has no power on hot water cycle -----triton t 90si
The temperature is adjustable. The valve has a disc you pull off the front of valve and then rotate the seat I believe counter-clockwise. If you get the paperwork for this valve from moen it is very explanatory. I can help further if needed, Let me know!

Here is a quick check to see if the cartridge may be at fault allowing the cold and hot to mix. Turn off the hot water supply, with hot water supply off turn faucet on. Turn to the hot and cold sides, If you have only cold water then your faucet cartridge is at fault or the cartridge housing is worn. Shut all supply valves and remove cartridge and inspect housing for signs of wear. If wear is visible a new shower valve is needes. If none visible replace cartridge. I have included a link of a PDF file an exploded parts list. I hope this helps in solving your problem. Please rate if the answer helps in any way. Good Luck and have a great week. Jeff

these valves can be adjusted by removing the handle and adjusting the white gear that regulates the hot and cold that come out, try going more to one way if it gets colder then go the other way.

SOURCE: Posi -temp shower fixture. Can't
That sounds like the thermocouple within the heater to me.There are 2 sections within the thermocouple.A reference section(what you want it to be) and an actual reading section. The difference between the 2 twists 2 pieces of metal which are different elements and causes a signal to activate/deactivate heater. It is simple but surprisingly accurate usually within 2 degrees F.Whatever is going on,it seems awful backwards.Checking the heater is definitely the best first choice. The shower hood is not likely to affect the system unless it had it's own heat or something. That is not the 'normal'function though. Also, after you do get it fixed,we have our water temperature set so that taking a shower requires very little cold water.Saves on water and power because hot hot water is only really needed if you have infants.Ours may be about 140F,150F,160F,don't remember exact and it's hard to access.Set a temp and let sit 24 hours and try it after it's fixed.Probably adjust in about 10 or 15 degree increments, depending how far off it feels compared to what is tolerable.Good luck,Greg If you have any questions or need more help, just comment here and I will get an autolink to your post and reply ASAP.Greg

Lets watch a video
The hot and cold being reversed is an easy fix. When he took the handle off and exposed the cartage the small stem in the middle there are two flat spots on the stem with the screw hole in it just take some pliers and turn the stem 180% you don't have to turn the water off for this. DON'T TAKE THE KEEPER OUT FOR THIS!
If cartage dosen't want to come out as mentioned in the video be ferm with it but don't get ruff. If the cartage was hard to get out it is a good idea to sand or clean the hole it came out of some very fine sand paper wraped around a pencel well do the trick. If you do sand use a squirt bottle and wash any debree out of the hole.
