I have had 3 replacements of of this models so far & they all end up with the same fault & not recognising discs I am going to take action under unfit for purpose consumer legislation. A cheap thirty quid player purchased at the same time reads all the discs no problem there is something seriously wrong with the RH7500 It may be be 1 production batch or a design fault with the whole lot but we should be able to expect more than a year & a bit use for something that cost 200 odd quid.

Had same problem on sameLG unit. Found a Sony blog with same issue described and solution was a blown capacitor on the power supply circuit. Opened my unit and sure enough there was a bulging cap. Replaced it and starts up like normal. 90c repair.
